Ok I changed the mainfile.php and set the xoops_url to the ip address of the windows machine running the server. I can connect now and get the theme graphics ... except for the XOOPS flash banner. Those I can not see. Any ideas? Again thanks for all the help.

Thanks for all the replies, I will try it when I get home tonight. Now I did edit my hosts file on the main server and set it's computer name on the network to the 127 ip address. When I'm on a windows machine I can type the name in in the address bar and get the site but again without graphics. I want to stress again that I just want to access the site from the webserver from other computers within my local home network not from the web. I'm not sure if in the post about remotely means from the web. I will keep messing with it and see what happens.

Thanks,

Hi there!

I'm trying XOOPS again and the install using WAMP was perfect. I'm trying to access my XOOPS test site on the webserver from other computers in my local network. I can get to a XOOPS login screen but there are no graphics. It's just a plain looking website. When I enter in my admin login and password it won't let me any further into the site. I'd like to edit and play with the site from my laptop, in my bedroom, in my underwear, but I'm stuck. I just can't seem to find any help for this type of problem here or on the web.

Thanks for any help!!

Well, I've tried to find the answer to this question but no luck. I'm using the 8tem-orrange theme and trying to replace the logo with my own. I've changed the code in the theme.html and the header.html in the images directory. When I go to load the site I still have the default logo showing up. I've cleared everything cache etc. and no luck. When I directly goto the theme.html or the header.html it loads my changes but I can't seem to load the logo any other way. I hope I'm not being to obtuse in my description. Is there another file I need to edit that I haven't found yet? If you think you have the solution I would love to hear it. If you need more info please let me know. I'd love to keep trying out XOOPS but need to get past this logo hangup. Thanks for any help!

Ventilo Chat Module or Block ...

Hi there!

Just found XOOPS and am playing with it now. I'm currently working with Dragonfly for my gaming site but think XOOPS is better suited for a business site I'm working on. I was wondering if there was anyone out there possibly working on a Ventrilo Voice Chat module or block. I used to have one on my PHPNuke site that would show who was online and in what channel. There's not one for Dragonfly and I only see a Teamspeak module here. Anyway, I'm really interested in one. I hope there are more folks out there like me.

Thanks for you time!
