Re: The error message of excal 2.0.3?

I have the same issue. I fix it by editing the extcal/class/perm.php with:

Before the line:

class ExtcalPerm {

Add the line:

if ( class_exists('ExtCalPerm') )
{
return;
}

Re: mass delete of users in 2.2+

Maybe there is some misunderstanding here. I would only like to delete users in a group, but not all members in the database. By default XOOPS installed with only 3 user groups, Webmaster, Registered Users and Guest. Let say i have added another user group named "Moderator", and now i want to delete all the users belong to the group "Moderator" only. Thanks.

Re: mass delete of users in 2.2+

I would like to delete all the users belong to a group instead of their status (active/inactive). What changes need to be done on the code for it to works? I am using 2.2.

Re: Xoops 2.2.3 problems at orgfree.com

I think most probably it's something unstable with the host server. I didn't modified anything but some time the "General settings" can be shown, but some time it just return me blank page. It's really strange..any idea?

Re: Error messages at top of installation screen

Could that caused by a corrupted file? try find out which files those lines reside, and check and see if it is corrupted. Some of my files do corrupted while uploading to the server, even i do the upload 2nd time.

Re: Ringtones Modules

Perhaps you need a download module?

Re: Xoops 2.2.3 problems at orgfree.com

I have solved the first problem. The problem lies in corrupted xoops_version.php in /modules/system. An extra php close tag (?>) was found at the end of the file. I removed it and the funny characters on my page disappear.

However, it doesn't solved my second problem. System-General Settings still return me with a blank page with the php debug message. Any idea?

Re: Xoops 2.2.3 problems at orgfree.com

Sorry for that, i didn't realise it could be so serious. As i think i can remove everything from my file manager and database if someone did something bad on it, as my hosting account login is different with the XOOPS webmaster login. I just want to show the broken of my System-General Settings function.

Thanks for the suggestion, i shall look into it. So it's a problem with uploading file...hmm, previously i thought it's a problem with php 4.4.1 or because the ads insertion script by orgfree.

Re: Install problem: could not connect to the database server

try create a file named db.php at your localhost and run it in browser to try out your db connection,the code are as follows. If problems exists, it will show the MySQL error message and at least you have an idea on what's getting wrong.
<?php
// connect to the server:
$cn = mysql_connect("localhost","username","pass");
// run a simple query
$sql = "SELECT 'done' as my_field LIMIT 1";
$result = mysql_query($sql,$cn);
if($result)
{
// if it worked, print the result to screen
echo mysql_result($result,"my_field");
} else {
// otherwise, either the server isn't running
// or the username/password are wrong
echo mysql_error()."<br />You should see an error message above you?";
}
?>
