Hi friends,
Many thanks for your help! I´ll try these solutions: xoRewriteModule hack + htaccess changes.
I think it would be (for the future, of course) a good addon on Xoops to allow users to choose between several permanent links from Control Panel, aka wordpress. What do you think, is possible?

I thinks Smallworld is a native Xoops module with a future. Anyway, it's a shame that Yogurt, great module, was not continued after the death of its author, and now has become obsole in several of its characteristics.

temporarily, I found the solution for a project where I needed to add to a portal Xoops modern social network. And is this:

Xopps 2.5.5 + Xpress me 2.47 + Wordpress 3.42 + BuddyPress 1.61

For the moment, all works fine. Xpress/Wordpress acts as Xoops module, and I have activated BuddPress plugin under Wordpress without problem, with a Buddypress theme on Wordpress mode.

My only problem is that the url of the Social Network is too long:

mysite.com/modules/xpress/members/nameuser.

I would like to have shorter urls, hence my question on another topic of whether there was any way or hack to shorten urls in Xoops. If anyone can help at this point would be very grateful. Many thanks,

Baldur

Hi, two questions:

1. Is there any way, hack or module to shorter urls? Example: "myxoops.com/newbb", instead of "myxoops.com/modules/newbb".

2. What must I do to change the name of a module, example: "forums" instead of "newbb"

Many thanks,
Baldur

The same of pmarket, I access to smallworld module and admin configuration, but don´t save admin and other user profiles.

I have a vps server on hostgator, I tested it on several domains. My root configuration server:

Linux Centos - kernel 2.6.18-028stab092.1
Apache 2.2.20
MySQL 5.1.56
PHP 5.2.17
XOOPS 2.54
ModuleAdmin 1.1
Added smallworld to protector DOS/CRAWL
Convert username links to smallworld" -> "no"
Checked mainfile.php without "/" on XOOPS_URL

Many thanks for your help, and excuse me to rewrite the problem.

Re: Social Network module

Hi Culex, I has the same problem of Pmarket. The module don´t save profile registration to database. It does a loop and returns to the original form. I have tested it on Xoops 2.54 (english version) and Xoops 2.4.4 (spanish version).

Social Network module

Hi,
There is some work to continue the way of Yogurt module or do you now about a similar and upgraded module? I think a powerfull social network module would be a great news to all Xoops users. It´s the only point where Xoops is outdated.

When I do a Quote reply to a post, and if I click the "preview" buttom, then the field "To" appears blank, without the username that I want to post.

I haven´t this problem when I don´t click the preview buttom.

Can you help me?

Hi, somebody has a copy or a new link to the excellent article of WolfFactory about XOOPS configuration cache? The link is missing, and I would need to recover it, because it had a detailed explanation about this topic. Thanks for your help.
