Re: Xoops 2.2.3: smarty read error: block_...

I deleted it but still the same problem... hmm.

There is another solution just posted at
https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=43338&forum=39
so I might try this as well... it looks like there are a lot of people having the same problem. Hopefully it'll be fixed or developers are aware of it.

Re: Xoops 2.2.3: smarty read error: block_...

Teibaz,

Well, it's my fault but I didn't delete it before reinstalling it. Again, while I was adding/deleting modules it happned again. So frustrating.

Before I start it over again, could you kindly please let me know how to delete 'tpl_tplset' from phpMyAdmin page? I'm such a monkey when it comes to it. I found 'tpl_topset' in phpMyAdmin but afraid of doing something to it. Do I need to "DROP" it? If I need to "CHANGE" it, what do I need to set it for?

Thanks for your time.

Re: Xoops 2.2.3: smarty read error: block_...

Hi,

You're suppose to delete the 'install' folder after installing XOOPS so which process is that you deleted "KEY tpl_tplset (tpl_tplset,tpl_file(10))"? Is it before you install XOOPS and then it won't have any problem afterwords?

Re: xoops 2.2.3 - problems with custom blocks being blank

I'm not sure if anyone is monitoring this problem but I've been having exactly the same problem on my site. It was running no problem but all the sudden it cruppted or something, and started displaying "Smarty" error no matter what I trid to add into any block.
I was almost done setting my site up to open but is this mean I have to rebuilding everything from scratch again? Did anyone find out any solutions? Please advice...

Re: date problem

Thanks Dave_L,

Hmm, that's sort of what I throught > server set to GMT+9
However, it's still a half day ahead.
(I tried your script, it displayed the local time and "+0900", which is correct because I'm using a server in Japan.)

I didn't quite understand what you meant by saying "The date/time displayed also depends on the time zone selected in your user profile.". Sorry, I'm a newbie to XOOPS so I couldn't fine it anywhere in preference. Please advice.

Re: Time Issues

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I'm using 2.2.3 English version. From General Seettings menu, I checked Server timezone and Default timezone and both of them were correct but as flaxy is discribing the actual time on the side is about 4 hours ahead.

Any idea how to fix this? I'm not super great on PHP or SQL so detailed instructions would be great. Please help!

Re: date problem

I was having a same problem:( My time zone is (GMT-8:00) Pacific Time (US&Canada) and when I set the Server & Default timezone to it it was a day wrong. Now it's pointing the correct date after chaning the Server timezone to (GMT+9:00) Tokyo, Seoul, Osaka, Sapporo, Yakutsk. I'm an absolutely monkey when it comes to PHP, SQL and such but could it because XOOPS is originaly been developed in Japan??? Well... please don't laugh if I'm saying something stupid...
