After 4 and half hours of moving a UserFiles folder around every section of the site I found it needs to go into the Root section of the public_html folder of the site!
I have xoop 2.2 running in a sub folder and Content .5 !
Why they don't simply have a simple read me showing the folders required would be too simple :(
Anyway after many headaches I thought I'd let every body know how I got it going! (Hope it works for you!)

Thanks for that. I was disabling from the blocks in system menu only.

Is it possible without stripping out the actual code, to remove the Notification Options box from every section!
I'm in the process of trying to set up a new site with XOOP but the notification box which takes up 1/2 the screen is driving me crazy!
I've tried to set the options in the blocks admin but even when thats set to invisible it still appears! (Is this a bug?)
I've thought of just wiping out the template but seems a little drastic?
