This is a bug.

see SourceForge Bug Tracker

In which the solution is described as:-

Dynamic Profile Field: Date type
When we create a date type field in dynamic profile,
modify /modules/profile/admin/user.php line 145 to
convert date string to timestamp as follows.

$user->setVar($fieldname, $fields[$i]->getValueForSave($_REQUEST[$fieldname]));

(Slightly modified as the original has some bold tags in it)

Can I host multiple sites with one Xoops installation

I have several domains on my webhost and I want to use XOOPS for several of them. However I can only see how to do this by loading XOOPS into the root of each domain, taking up some 10Mb of space for each.

I would like to install the XOOPS system once on my server and then use the coding for each of several sites. A bit like I have one implementation of MySql but it is used by several sites.

Is this possible? Can anyone point me to documentation, or give me guidance, please

Well, no replies in nearly a month - so must I take it that no one else has this problem?

If you have created a date field in extended profiles and it works - please let me know. And if it doesn't also tell me, please.

I have added a date field in extended profiles.
I enter the date on someone's profile by using the date picker.
The date shows as 1970/1/1 !

This is in XOOPS 2.2.3 Final running on Apache 2 loaded on WinXPpro (using XAMPP)

The database field in XXX_user_profile shows the year e.g. 2004 or 2005. This is viewed using PHPAdmin, but when I go into edit profile the field also shows the year also e.g. 2004.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Best wishes

Adrian
