Hey,
I am using XOOPS 2.0.16 with News 1.44 and Weblinks 0.93 modules.
Now in news module the article.php file shows the news article
and in weblinks module the viewcat.php file shows one links category
now suppose we have article.php?storyid=1 and viewcat.php?cid=1
i want the article no 1 to show up in the viewcat.php?cid=1 page at the top and the links at the bottom
that is i am merging the two pages with the same id.
i want to know if i can copy some code from article.php into the viewcat.php file ...but i am not really sure which code i need...
i tried a few times with bits of code but doesnt seem to be working...
can anybody help me..thanks

..thats good..so newBB development has stopped..all further releases will be under the CBB brand.
so i should be installing CBB and not newBB if i have the newest Xoops

...A bit of criticism...
..why dont XOOPS themes look as flashy as the ones for joomla/phpBB/SMF ...i feel most of them are dull and bland...
the theme on this xoops.org site is however very good..is this theme available to be used ?

Is newBB being discontinued and we have to move to CBB ?
..OR is newBB and CBB developed by 2 different teams and would the development continue ?

clickable news titles for one category , but not in a block ...it should be like a url so i can link to it from the menu

..why not...u just need a new php file..which shows a list of news articles in a category just like newsbyauthor.php
e.g u make newslist.php?storytopic=2 and it will show u a list of all articles in that category instead of the actual articles...
i saw the actual files..but am not that good at php...so i am not able to do it myself..

it gives u stories for category no 4
is there a hack where i can just get the list of stories like you get at newsbyauthor.php
would i have to make a new file like newslist.php?storytopic=4 which will then have similar content of newsbyauthor.php but just for one category ??
