how to make forum home page and gallery photo upload problem!!!

Dear Helpers:

My website address is: www.hillsyf.com/xoops

first problem:

i want to make my HAYF forum to load in home page, how can i achieve this?



Second problem:

this is a more serious one, if you go to my gallery, you will see....i dont know why the photos are black and white...did i do something wrong??

xc gallery plz help!!!

To Helpers:

username: admin
password: hongkong2006

and some how inside my gallery (xcgal)...i couldn't upload any pictures at all, created a test album and try to upload...an error msg always comes up saying "cannot write script..."

please help!

i have set up all the permissions for all modules

if you don't mind, please have a look at my site

username: admin
password: hongkong

this site is for my church's youth group.

Please take a look inside of how i have setted it up and it still couldn't work.

even registering a new user wouldn't work.

To Helpers:

hi, i try to find answers for this but couldn't find, try to click on the operation menu or the XOOPS documentation in the XOOPS faq, but they do not exists....and my site login hasn't been working for ages so i decided to ask today.

my site address is www.hillsyf.com/xoops

and when my colleagues presses the "register now" button, this message always comes up

"Sorry, you don't have the permission to access this area."

even when they click on the news link , the above message comes up

i want to know how to set the permissions so that everyone can view the news, gallery etc and register a new account for themselves.

i have tried setting all permissions allowed for everything in the admin >modules> extended profiles>permissions

but still, that message comes up

Please help! Thanks in advance!

Another question is, say if i really install XOOPS on the chosen web server, when run, will there be any ADVERTISEMENTS on the page? (like ads from google, yahoo..etc..) or does it depends on which webserver i use??
