How can I make a block show up for all users, even if they are not logged in? I'd like all users to be able to read the recent news block, even if they aren't registered.

Thanks,
Mike

I am getting an HTML fragment displayed below the redirect screen whenever it appears. It seem to be part of the </body> tag which appears below the block containing the redirect text. Here's what it looks like:

If the page does not automatically reload, please click here
ody>

Any ideas on how to get rid of this artifact?

Thanks,
Mike

Well, I removed newbb 2 and installed version 1. The same thing happened when installing it, the page went blank except for the search and some punctuation. But now I can create forums, I just can't create forum blocks or add them to the menu. I don't understand what's going wrong. Maybe I will reinstall the whole thing.

@Bender

Yes, after it did not work I deleted the newbb directory from the server and reuploaded all the files. The result was the same.

I'm attempting to setup my first XOOPS site (2.0.13.2) and all is going fairly well except the forums. I'm attempting to use newbb 2.0.2 which I downloaded today and uploaded to the modules folder on my server. I see the module in the module admin list and I can attempt to install it, but immediately after installation I am presented with what appears to be a mostly blank fourm screen and no other options. The search box and a few dashes and equal signs are visable, but no text or images. My initial reaction is that newbb2 did not install properly. But when I return to the module admin menu, newbb2 is listed as installed, but I am unable to create forum blocks. I can create a category, but the edit and delete options are unavailable. The forum section simply lists the categories as forums and doesn't allow me to add, edit, or delete forums. I attempted to reinstall the newbb module with the same outcome. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or how to get the newbb module running properly?

Thanks,
Mike
