Yeah, go to modules administration and set the order to "0". This is for any mod that you don't want to show up in main. I use the "News" for the staff members only so no one can submit etc. so it's hidden also on my site.

YES!

To summarize -

XOOPS 2.2.3, CBB 2.2.3, PHP 5.0.3, MySQL 4.1.10

With the code added to the "newbb/includes/functions.php" file, ALL is well. I have installed Several modules now including - news, liaise, smartfaq, pm, profile, and content.

I am happy to report everything is working perfectly.

Thanks again phppp, without your help I would never have gotten these modules to play nice together . You can look through it all here.

Got it man, forgot to add the code to the functions.php

So with the latest setup all is good with no other modules running. I'll update as I install them.

THANKS!

Nope, went in and removed XOOPS and reinstalled 2.2.2 then tried to install forums (2.2) as first and only module from admin section, same error. Then did it again and installed profiles and pm, then tried forums (2.2), still same.

Deleted 2.2.2 and went with latest and greatest XOOPs, 2.2.3. Tried same thing as above....got same error.

So it seems it is not a conflict with another module as thought.

2.2.3 XOOPS with 2.3 newbb maybe? I'll try it and see what happens for the helluvit, let ya' know.

MySQL DB is version 4.1.10 if that makes a difference.

I am at a loss now phppp. And I am almost out of time for the day which REALLY suxors lol I hate not getting something done.

Come to think of it, I believe I had this problem with one of these other modules when installing it after the forums were already installed. I think this is why I waited to install the forums this time as I was pretty confident in the workings of them. I'll go redo the whole D**N thing and do some bug hunting...bbiab.

XOOPS 2.2.2, cbb 2.2, PHP 5.0.3,

I did no upgrade (sorry didn't see that the previous poster had) I just installed through admin section after FTP newbb to modules folder. All echos after install were fine.

I do have XOOPS as table prefix, I noticed in "xoops_version.php" line 56 states -

"// All tables should not have any prefix!" and when the tables were created they of course were created with the prefix "xoops_bb_". I renamed them all without the "xoops" prefix and this did nothing just to let ya' know.

Hope this is helpful, and thanks a TON for all the quick responses phppp!

This totally fried the entire admin section of the site.

I placed the "endif;" at the very end after the last "}" and before the "?>" and I also tried a few placements just after the first "if" call you suggested. Wrong placement?
