Dear XOOPS Users,
I'm looking to get blog entrys posted via wordpress onto my top page. One solution is set the top page to wordpress. Well problem being i want to have other contents above the wordpress blog posts. So another solution to that would be to modify the wordpress index.php tree and hardcode via echos the html code I want in there. This method is kind of sloppy.

My ideal solution would be able to create a custom block and center it on the frontpage. The custom block would be a php script that somehow prints out the all the blog postings. Any idea what that script would look like?

With a custom block i won't modify any of the files in the wordpress directories and i will be able to put contents blocks above and below this custom block.

Hope to hear from ya.

Dear XOOPS Users,
Does anyone know how i can make my XOOPS website 100% UTF-8. I'm hoping to get a system up and running that has complete utf-8 support for korean, japanese, and english. I know there is a korean utf-8 module available, but I haven't seen a utf-8 japanese module. Is there a module out there. Or is there a way i could edit the language files personally to get UTF-8 running?

Thanks for your time.

Dear XOOPS users,
Well here`s the type of blog system I`m looking for....

Has Japanese and english support
Has multiuser support, each user can own their own blog and write to it, others can not edit it yet can leave comments.

Anybody can read anyone else`s blog entries.

Any suggestions on what to use? It seems like wordpress is the best solution to this problem however I can`t get 1.52 to install correctly and wordpress me .33 doesnt support multiuser, neither does 1.52 but u can hack it with multiply wordpress plugin.

thanks for your time

I'm trying to install the XOOPS wordpress 1.52 module and I'm having terrible trouble getting it installed. I copy it to my modules directory. It is recognized under modules panel in my admin but when i go to install it i get errors.

Table 'xoops2.bnG4z_wp_options doesn't exist.

Which is true is does not exist in MySQL database.

The only table that gets created in MySQL is xoops2.bnzGrz_wp_views

Anyone have any ideas?????????

I've tried installs on XOOPS 2.2.2, 2.2.3 and japanese XOOPS 2.0.12.

Dear XOOPS Users,
This might be a little off topic and if so I apologize. I'm just wondering if anyone has gotten the "multiply" wordpress plugin working with the XOOPS wordpress me module posted on this site under the module section. When I activate the multply plugin all of my wordpress blog pages become blank. When I deactivate the plugin everything returns back to normal. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.
