I have RC1 installed and MySQL debug produces no errors or info when trying accessing register.php. However I have been getting a number of javascript errors in the admin pages using IE 6.0.2800 sp2 (these are not present using Firefox 1.0.6) and the login block is visible but doesn't contain the login entry fields and button. I think I will try a complete re-install and see if that makes any difference, I guess I've probably broken it somewhere along the line.

Thanks

Hi

I'm not sure if this is a bug or an installation problem but I have installed XOOPS 2.2.3 with Apache 2.0.54 / MySQL 4.1.14 / PHP 4.4.0 on Windows 2000 and when I try to register a new user I get a blank page displayed. PHP debugging doesn't produce any errors. Any ideas what the problem is?

Cheers

The solution to this may well have been under Database problems thread but I discovered that I had forgotten to SET_OLDPASSWORD() on the MySQL database, duh! If anyone should come across this link and need the solution it is here:

Hi

I have previously installed XOOPS 2.0.13.1 and XOOPS 2.2.3 on Windows XP successfully. Now I am having to install XOOPS on a Windows 2000 server but I can't get the XOOPS installer pages to connect to the database so that the tables can be created.

I am running Windows 2000 SP4, have tried both XOOPS 2.0.13.1 and XOOPS 2.2.3, installing under Apache 2.0.54 with PHP 4.4.0 and MySQL 4.1.14. I have checked all of the config files (php.ini, httpd.conf, my.ini) between the XP and the Win2000 machines and they are all identical. I have checked user permissions on both machines and they appear to be the same. I have checked the MySQL database permissions and they are the same on both machines. I can connect to the database no problem with MySQL and Navicat but I just can't get the XOOPS install pages to get past the table creation page.

This seems like a permissions problem to me but I have run out of places to look. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, I am also trying to enable the Koivi editor only in XOOPS 2.0.13, do I have to make changes to the php files for Koivi to work?

Any help would gratefully appreciated.

Thanks for your help TottoBG. I gave up on IIS and installed on Apache which is much nicer and faster too, so I'm up and running.

Sorry but I don't have a _config table as none of the tables have been created at this point. I have an empty database but the install wizard presents the blank page at the point where it creates the tables.

I am trying to install XOOPS 2.0.13.1 under Apache 2.0.54 on XP. I have PHP 5.04 and MySQL 4.0.25 running. The XOOPS installer wizard cannot create the tables on the database for some reason, it just displays the blank screen. I cannot see why the tables can't be created as the database user has full permissions to the database and my XOOPS directories have write permissions. So now I am trying to find out what the problem is. Having read the FAQ on blank pages my only option is to try to get error display turned on but for some reason XOOPS won't display what the problem is. In the php.ini have set:

display_errors = On
error_reporting = E_ALL

Because this didn't work I tried to log errors using:

log_errors = On
error_log = "c:\server\apache2\htdocs\error.log"

No luck with this either.

I have spent hours trying to find a solution to this so I'd be really grateful if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks

OK, thanks for that I'll give it a try. I'm a bit new to MySQL so do you have any pointers as to how to turn on debugging?

I have installed XOOPS 2.0.13.1 under IIS and it seems to work fine until I added the downloads and XFsection modules. When I try to add a download file the form submits ok but makes no change to the database, likewise when trying to add new categories and articles in XFsection my changes are also not inserted. Any help greatly appreciated.
