Security problem newbb viewtopic.php viewforum.php

During the last week I noticed an activity trying to exploit a vulnerability of the viewtopic.php script.

I was told to update the script using the new version of xoops. When I tried to update the existing viewtopic.php and viewforum.php with those found in XOOPS 2.0.13.1 to 2.0.13.2 upgrade patch the result was the forum not to work.

Is there any way of updating that script or even better, Can I update that script into CBB 3.0

Finally is there any difference between newbb2 and CBB

Create main website and subsites using same membrers

I am trying to create a main site and 6 or 7 smaller sites all based in XOOPS using the same server. Web space is not an issue. I searched for an answer and i found tha it can be done by multi sites.

I don't need any other connection between the sites but just the members, so the same database would create a problem. Especially if you think that there will be others to administer it's content except me.

The problem is i can't find any directions on how to do it. I am using XOOPS 2.0.13.1.

It works just fine for both the webmasters and the registered users that i have registered as members from the system.

Other than that annonymouw users can't visit the register page or some of the modules.

In both cases they get an blank page witch is not the case with all other user groups including webmasters

Is there any way to manually set permissions ???

All permisions for the blocks are set to visible for all groups. My problem is not with the blocks but with the entire module.

The annonymoys users cannot see the articles module they just get a blank page.

The latest articles block in the main page is called
"Τελευταία άρθρα των συντακτών του Sexaki.gr" see the center blocks area SeXaki.gr

But if you try to see not the block but the module's main page you get a blank page as an anonymoys user. see Articles page.

Anonymous Users permissions not working for some modules in xoops 2.2.1

Here is a brief description of my problem.

Althought i have set the permissions fror the Anonymous Users Group to be able to vissit all modules, that 's not the case.

The Anonymous Users cannot see but one or 2 modules and not all modules index pages.

Here ia an example: Anonymous Users can see the news module but cannot see the articles module.
Just check the link SeXaki.gr-->main page

but when visiting the articles module i only get a blank page Articles module

Any ideas?????
For all other groups i works just fine.

Here is an example of what my problem looks like. Because i am still testing my website localy here is an example of my problem :

Here you can find the main page of an online website using the Latest Published Articles and having the same problem.

Main page:http://www.riblets.org/

it is not possible to display any picture or use any html formating at the Latest Published Articles block in home page.

But things change when you visit the article module page

Article page :Article

as well as in other cases the articles index page with just the descriptions.

In all cases the html or XOOPS code is the same but in Latest Published Articles block the html or XOOPS codes are seen just as text...

Using the latest published articles in main page i canot get it to display the image in the description.

IIt is trange that if you look at the index page of articles you get the description of each article but also the image of the article.

In the latest published articles bloch at home page i just get the html code.

I also tried to use the instructions posted in this (https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=27326&forum=4) topic but still no luck.

Plese help!!!

I also tried to modify the articles_latest_main.php and the articles_block_latest_main.html files in order to make the description follow html code but there was no effect.

I am trying to use thiw basicly in order to show the image that is attached to the description of the article. The point is that i still get a funky text using the html tags and not traslating the code.

Please if you have further information i would be obliged i can't seem to find a way out.
