http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/board/index.php?topic=13703.0

The Above is a small project Coppermine users were working on, it is great but it only works with CPG alone, it needs work to be used with Bridged Galleries.

but wouldn't it be easier than making it for bridged galleries to build it to work with xcgallery?

my first effort had been initially to use phpBB2 and CPG1.3

unfortunately I had too many problems with it and the integration, and started having errors popping up left right and center out of no where even after the bridging was done without a problem.

which is why I tried out XOOPS and went with that instead, much easier than trying to patch it all together that's for sure, and I am not going blind reading code like I did with the first try.

anyway, having a mod for this would solve my little problem with the Telstra Header which I cannot edit, and even though I wont be able to post blog entries by MMS I will be able to post photo's to the site, which is the primary reason I WANT to be able to post from my phone with attachments.

if that makes sense.

ok now I have another Question, how do you sort it out by subject if your MMS provider places its own subject content in, and merely attaches the content which is what you sent in the MMS, which basically means you can't send emails from your phone to the email address and have them recognised can you?

or is it possible to set up a default receiving blog for these messages?

I have been reading though here and I cannot seem to find the answers anywhere....

I have a problem where all votes and comments simply get the message "permission denied (0)" irrespective of the permission settings for votes and comments, have tried all of them.

I also have a problem that Users cannot create their own blog, only admin can it comes up with the max error that they have too many blogs, even though they don't have any, it is set for each user to have 10 blogs, I got that far but otherwise cannot find a solution.

still in set up stage, have no cache set.

also would like to know how to get the remote or moblogging setup, I can't quite figure it out, I thought I did but it still didn't work.

as far as I can figure you set up a pop3 address to receive all remote messages, and they are received and posted according to Email address they were sent "from", and each blog can set their "from" address in their Post settings.

if that is the case that's done and it still doesn't work, nothing arrives, is there some sort of configuration setting needed for the pop3 to determine how often/freuently or whatever that these posts are collected and posted?

UPDATE: I have got the remote blogging by email sorted, i now know how you set it up to send by email at least, now my conundrum is with our mobile service providers, will it make a difference, (I have sent one to check to my own site but as yet it hasn't turned up for me to know one way or another)

the way our provider formats Emails from MMS, is:

-------------------------------
From: mms@online.telstra.com.au
To: {recipient email address}
Subject: Message brought to you by Telstra MMS

This message was sent from {Senders Mobile Phone Number} This MMS message was powered by Telstra. Sharing picture and video messages is easy with Telstra's Picture and Video Messaging (MMS) service. To find out more, visit www.telstra.com/info/mms.
{Image BMP} {Message Contents}

-------------------------------

This is going to cause me problems isn't it?

---------------------------------

Another Update:

I have also discovered that if you click on "edit" for an already posted blog entry you are shown a blank entry, in other words it simply allows you to submit an entirely new blog entry rather than edit the existing one.

Also I have been trying to find a Multimedia Block which I can use to show my own Video and MP3 wouldn't go astray,

I have downloaded debaser, smartmedia, mediashow, amongst others, I havn't been able to install the others but I have attempted to do so with every Media Mod you have, so far not a single one has worked, can anyone recommend one which will, how to get it working or let me know how to install those I couldn't.
