yeah, double checked all that, i am using sendmail and all works fine unless i have Activate Automatically and then the New User Registration emails never go out. Like i said before with either of the other two options New User Registration emails go out fine.
Thanks

New User Registration Email Quandary

Hello All, thanks for taking the time to read this, here is my issue:

I have "notify by mail when new user registers" checked in preferences, i have "select group to which new user notification mail will be sent" set to Administrators and i have "select activation type of newly registered users" set to Activate Automatically.

The adminstrators group never receives the New User Notification email.

If i change the "select activation type of newly registered users" to either activation by user or activation administrator, the administrators group does receive the New User Notification emails.

So is this by design? After a few hours of beating my head against the wall it suddenly dawned on me that maybe this is intentional, maybe Admins dont want to know when people are automatically registered for their site?

For me i want to know a new user is registered when they register so i may add them to groups as soon as possible.

Any light that can be shed here is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all the devs for the great product and excellent mods.

Chico

Sorry guys just realized i posted this in the wrong forum, could an admin move it to General Usage Questions?
Thanks.

Docmanager - This file doesn't exist - Downloading File

First off, Docmanager is exactly what i need if i can get it to work all the way, thanks Jeff.

I have been scouring XOOPS site, support forums and cant seem to find anyone with the same problem. I can create folders, add files, rename files and erase files but i cant download them.

Every thing seems to work fine until i click download and i get the standard "This file doesn't exist" with php errors:
Notice [PHP]: Constant _md_createfolder_save_error_bd already defined in file modules/docmanager/language/english/main.php line 84
Notice [PHP]: Constant _md_createfolder_save_error_path already defined in file modules/docmanager/language/english/main.php line 85

I have XOOPS 2.0.9.2
Red Hat Linux 9
Apache Web Server

Folder permissions set as follows:
uploads - root 777
tools - root 777
parent_folder - apache 777

tools files were copied into new tools folder
sentence_filter.pl is copied to /usr/bin and executable
going into the docmanager admin page i get all 4 as OK.

I can see on my server that uploading a 48k file via docmanager does work, the file shows up the a subfolder in uploads with the same file size as the original but when clicking download i get "This file doesn't exist".

Anyone with any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Chico
