News Topic Postings - side border lengths aren't consistent

Hi,

When I post News topics, it seems fine if i write a long enough post - the side borders are consistent. However, if I type a short post, the side border seems to be shortened to the length of the post. It looks very incosistent and I don't know how to fix this. Any ideas?

Hi,

My news topic posts are all sized differently, and it seems to be based on the size of the posts. Is there a way to make the size static? It looks really bad.

Yes, the registered users have block access rights.

Hi,

I've been having problems having anything that isn't part of System showing up on my front page. For example, I'm trying to get the Random Picture block to show up for XoopsGallery. I set it to visible for registered users, but no matter where I put the block, it doesn't show up. However, I am able to move around any system blocks fine. How can I get other Modules to show their blocks?

Thanks bluenova for your reply. However, this brings up another question for me. I wasn't able to find the newest News module from the Module Repository. The only way I could find it was by searching the website. Is there an easier way to find out the newest versions for the modules?

Hey guys,

I just got my News module up and running. I was wondering how I could limit who could post News items. How do I remove the "Post News" link from the Main Menu from particular users?
