Hmm... Maybe it didn't come with it. Must have downloaded it separately.
I take your general point about upgrading, but would CBB (newbb) 3.0.8 allow me to set the default view?

Forum module - change default thread presentation?

I am running XOOPS 2.0.16 with the Version 1 newbb Forum which comes with it.
I would like the default message layout to be 'flat', not 'threaded' so it looks like the forum on xoops.org (ie full messages presented sequentially).
Can I change this easily, or would upgrading enable me to set the default? If so, is CBB (newbb) 3.0.8 the correct upgrade?
Thanks

Good suggestion. Tried changing from PHPMail to Sendmail but the Protector module gave a security hole warning! Then had a go at SMTP which didn't work at all. (That may be because I hadn't set it up correctly.)

I'm thinking it would be quickest to do a clean install by upgrading to 2.0.18.

XOOPS 2.0.16
Contact Us Version 1
Liaise Version 1.24
PHP 4.4.4-8+etch1
MySQL 4.1.15-Debian_1

The Contact Us form sends the message only on the second attempt every time.

The Liaise module on the same website appears to send, but the message is never received.

I don't know if these problems appeared simultaneously, and the behaviours are different so I don't know if there is a common cause.

The hosting company say everything is running normally from their perspective.

Any suggestions please!

FWIW my client seems to have solved this one herself. She said that, using the mouse 'I clicked refresh INSIDE the edit text box...' and the invisible content appeared.

I'm puzzled but relieved.

Thanks for a quick response, solo71. Changed groups manager setting and all is fine.

Just installed Edito 2.31 and at first glance it looks feature-rich.

However, I want to create articles ('editos') that will be available to anonymous visitors through direct links. So far I haven't been able to do so. Even though I have selected Anonymous Users in the Groups box, I am denied access to the test edito I have just created, unless I am logged in.

What am I doing wrong please?

I don't need to be able to do any fancy formatting - just to see the text in the window would be fine.

I have made extensive use of TinyContent in this particular project, thinking that it was all going smoothly. Now I can't believe that another person can't use it on their PC.

Surely someone must have a suggestion for what might be happening here?

Alternatively, I may have to ditch TinyContent and use another module. Any recommendations please?

I'm desperate!

TinyContent 1.5 Windows XP problem?

I'm using TinyContent 1.5 which has a built-in spaw wysiwyg editor.

It works perfectly on a Windows 98 PC running IE6.

However, on a Windows XP machine running IE6, a simple non-wysiwyg editor is shown instead. More important, the content text does not show in the Content window - it's just blank.

Is there some setting I need to change on the XP machine to rectify this? Or something I could modify in TinyContent?
