I've the same problem, using 2.0.x
Usersare not able to change the system avatar. They can select the avatar and click on OK, but the avatar won't be written in the database.
Could it be a problem with the permissions on some files?
Bye

Local backup: modules news, links & polls don't work

I did a backup of the whole site, but now have a strange problem. After the backup the modules news, polls and links don't let me add new arguments. The other links, preferences ecc. work well, also the other modules.
I just tried to save the DB repairing first all the tables and bringing it up then but nothing. The site works well online, so there must be something while saving the DB or the files.
Has anyone any idea what could be wrong?
Thanks

Thank's for your answers, I'll try to do as you wrote, but I've no file theme.php in the class directory. I'm using XOOPS 2.0.x.
Bye

Thank you for your answer, but with dirname I receive the output of the modules name, like newbb for the forum or wfsection for the guides.
I'd like to have the title which I gave to the module, for example "Forum" for the newbb module. Is this possible?

I'd like to insert a variable on my site, which outputs only the title of he module that I'm visiting.
Example: When I read a post I'd like to have the output Forum, for a new article of wfsection guides ecc..
The titles are the same in the module admin page, so I haven't to change titles or define all of them.
I know that with xoops_pagetitle I'm very close to the solution, but this one outputs me also the title of the post (example for the Forum).
Hope to be understandable for you, thank's

Ok, I tried that, but the result is the same. Entered the user and pass, welcome message and the I'll be re-directed to the homepage without login. It's so as the DB is searching something and then goes back to the root.
I tried to control all my tables in the DB and got this in the tables of "online" and "session":

roby.xoops_online check warning Table is marked as crashed
roby.xoops_online check warning 7 clients is using or hasn't closed the table prop...
roby.xoops_online check error Record at pos: 5000 is not remove-marked
roby.xoops_online check error record delete-link-chain corrupted
roby.xoops_online check error Corrupt
roby.xoops_priv_msgs check status OK
roby.xoops_protector_access check warning 3 clients is using or hasn't closed the table prop...
roby.xoops_protector_access check status OK
roby.xoops_protector_log check status OK
roby.xoops_ranks check status OK
roby.xoops_session check warning Table is marked as crashed
roby.xoops_session check warning 9 clients is using or hasn't closed the table prop...
roby.xoops_session check error Record at pos: 290504 is not remove-marked
roby.xoops_session check error record delete-link-chain corrupted
roby.xoops_session check error Corrupt

It must be there the error!! But how is that possible without modifying my site???
The error message on this 2 tables is:
#1016 - Can't open file: 'xoops_session.MYD'. (errno: 145)

Hi!
I've read the FAQ topic, but that isn't my problem. The login block is visible and working, my problem is on logging in. Th block, which is not more on the homepage is the "who's online" block.
So, I can digit my user and pass but the site doesn't let me login, that's strange for me...as the site worked correctlyuntil a day before and I didn't do any change on it.
Xoops 2.0.13.2
php4
mysql 3.23
If you need other details I'll tell you.
Thank you
