Are you are talking about category listings or business listings, please clarify (what data / what table).

These are business listings to the xoops_xdir_links table

If that doesn't work I may need to take a look to understand exactly what you are encountering.

I've pm'd you with additional info. Thanks for any help you can provide

Tripmon, I never got a response to the problem I encountered:

Insert data from textfile into table.

Using this command in PHPMyAdmin for MxDirectory inserts the data, but the listings do not appear on the site(are not visible) The listings all had to be approved via the admin interface, but still are not visible on the site, although they are visible when browsing the table in in the database. Does this function not work in MxDirectory? Oh, the site shows the correct number of listings and the listings are even in their correct category, just not visible. Any ideas?

If I needed to restore the listings due to a crash,I assumed that would be the course to follow, but it doesn't appear to work, unless I'm overlookin something?

In the submit.php file I'd like to add a line so people could suggest a new category if theirs isn't listed. Simple or not?, I'm fairly new to PHP and MySQL

Thing is, you would need to input this manually, there is no auto duplication.

I'm guessing that means that you manually submit a duplicate listing for the company and choose a different category for the duplicate listing? Although not that practical, it does work.
