I've used my news module as my top page, so now "Home" and "News" point to the same place. Is there a way to change the menu block to get rid of one or the other without editing the templates?

In regards to last post, be advised that my XOOPS url is always 10.0.0.7; i changed the xoopsdb hostname from localhost to 10.0.0.7

I have a similir problem. I have my site internally as 10.0.0.7. I assign the box an internet IP on my firewall and use NAT so that when someone from the outside uses the internet IP, the firewall resolves it to 10.0.0.7. When reading this post, I thought it was because my XOOPS database name was localhost, but when I changed it to 10.0.0.7, it still doesn't work from the outside (but does work internally). Any ideas?

Maybe this is a stupid question... but where is the image manager exactly? I've created a category under sys admin: images.. but where can you turn it on/make it show up in the main menu? I've looked in blocks and such, with no luck.. anyone know? Thx

Ahhh! Nope, that wasn't the question. The question is; since now XOOPS points to 127.0.0.1 it's unreachable via internet.. It just says 'connecting to 127.0.0.1'.. so.. wtf is that? :)

how to externally update it so it uses the new mainfile.php? :) Because I can't get to anywhere still.. so I assume the database needs to be updated :) And since I can't get to admin.php... I went into it like "no, I got it now" ..except, I don't.

I've searched around the forums and really haven't found an answer to this question, probably because I shouldn't be doing it like this. When I installed xoops, I used the ip I was given from the DHCP server to let XOOPS connect to MySQL (because localhost didn't work). My IP has since changed. I know, I know. Stupid right? Well how can I change the pointer ip to mysql? And since localhost didn't work and the IP did, why is that? Any ideas on how to get localhost working for mysql?
