De-activating g-zip compression did the trick.

Problem solved.

The problem is something else than a error in programming or something.
When I log in from my PC at work, I can use all admin options. But I get the blank screen when I log in from home.

What could be a solution for this?

I'm running XOOPS 2.0.9.2 with XcGalllery 1.1.

And it worked fine untill now. When I click "Admin overview" or another Option in the module XcGallery then a blank screen appears.
Only the Preferences screen does work.

When I turn on "PHP debug " then no debugging messages appear.

How can I solve this problem. I uninstalled the module then I uploaded the whole module again and re-installed, but the problem remains.

Can someone help me with this?

news 1.31 can a moderator delete his own posts

I'm using the module news 1.31.

I made a member group "moderators" for registered users who
are allowed to post news. This group doesn't have admin-
rights.

When a member of the group "moderators" wants to delete a news
posting of his own, then he cannot do so, because for deletion
he had to have admin rights.

Is it really true that a user needs to have admin rights to
delete his own posts. If yes, why?

I have configured news1.3 to allow a custom usergroup to submit news, but no matter what I do or change, when someone in that group submits news, it always says by anonymous and will then not let them delete the news posts. I set it so that when they post it will use their username and they will be able to edit their posts, but I still get them showing up as anonymous. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

A solution to this problem is posted by angaran in the topic "Re: Definitive version of the News module" somewhere HERE

I'm having the same problem, but the message "Invalid session" does not appear when the admin-user posts news.

When users of other groups post news, then the errormessage appears sometimes. Sometimes these users can post news articles, and sometime the error message "Invalid session" shows up.

But I can't figure out when the message appears. It looks like random to me.

I'm using xcGallery 1.1 and I was very surpriced about al the features.

But I want to change the caption of the thumbnails on "The Last Uploads".

In the file "xcgal_thumb.html" I find the following code:

<{$pic.caption}>

It shows something like "20/03/2005 17:15 irocc" on the site. The only thing I want is that date and time is shown, but not the owner of the picture.

Where is the code that puts [date], [time] and [owner] together to the caption "20/03/2005 17:15 irocc"?

Or is there an option in the admin area that can hide the owner of the picture?

Can someone help me out with this?

I tried that as well, but it didn't work.
Today I just clicked the headlines-link on my XOOPS test site and it all worked. I didn't change anything since my last request on this forum. Maybe is has something to with the cache time. So I guess I'm just impatient.

Thanx for the tip using XHLD. It's worth a try.

So I'm not the only one who is troubling with the headlines module.

Last week I was running XOOPS version 2.0.5 and then the headlines module worked perfectly.
This week I upgraded to version 2.0.9 and now the following happens: The rss-feeds I added when I was running 2.0.5 are working as expected. But new added rss-feeds are not working. Even when I make an exact copy of an existing rss-feed it does not work.

What am I doing wrong?
