Re: "Object not found - 404" error after installation

Hi Martijn,

Yes, my root directory is

http://localhost/xoops-2.0.7.3/

I am trying to run XOOPS on my suse box. I have left this option as it was in the installation.

By the way, when I type

http://localhost/xoops-2.0.7.3/

I get an "access forbidden" error. With address

http://localhost/xoops-2.0.7.3/html/

I am having my login screen. But when I type username/password, 404 screen appears. I have no clue whether the installation is as it should be.

Tolga

"Object not found - 404" error after installation

Hello,

I had a "near-successfull" installation with 2.0.7.3. My problem is that, I get a 'green light' in all installation steps and come to the screen that is named "Xoops Site - Just Use it". I am trying to log in as administrator; I am typing in my username and password, and then I receive the message from apache saying that the "object is not found", with the usual 404 error. The error page address is :

http://localhost/xoops-2.0.7.3/user.php

I have checked the installation directory and saw that user.php page is there. I have tried the installation from scratch 3 times, but I couldn't solve the problem. Can you help?

Thank you all for your assistance in advance.

Cheers!
Tolga
