Hi,

I've been asked to transfer an exisiting static HTML site to a XOOPS website. I'm wondering what the standard pricing scheme people use to create these sites is? Or is there any?

I've used the multi-language tool from Smart Factory and it seems to work great. I would definately recommend it. I downloaded it from www.smartfactory.com

well, encrypt it I guess...so it not as easy for spiders and stuff to find. I need it to show up on my page as an email address, but not "look" like an email address to a harvester.

Clear as mud?

How do I hide my email address from spiders?

I've tried inserting some code into the block to hide it, but it apparantly doesn't like it. I would have liked a better solution than the one I'm currently using since spiders are getting smarter everyday.

The code that I'm currently using simply uses the
& # 6 4; (minus the spaces :) )character in place of the @ sign in my email addresses.

any other suggestions or do you think this is effective enough? The other suggestion that I have is to create the email address as a jpg but that has a whole slew of other issues attached to it.

Greetings,

I'm faced with the problem of creating a bilingual site.
Any suggestions on the best way of going about this?

I would like to be able to share users across both the english and french versions.

I see my options as:

1) Creating two separate XOOPS sites and having a splash screen that allows the user to select French and English.

2) Using the language files but I'm not sure how these work in relation to having the site bilingual as compared to just one language.

Any suggestions, tips or examples of sites that have done this would be most appreciated.

Greetings,

I'm wondering how a person goes about adding a new page to their website that can be edited through the admin panel.

I would like to create some pages just to add some basic content such as about us, pricing, services etc. without having all the "extras" that the modules provide.

Thank-You
Shujakku
