The problem was found with the help of the hosting company. It appeas that was an exploit at templates_c folder. When we deleted the files from within, the message went away. Is there a known patch for that? I haven't followed the forums for a while so I didn't know about any particular exploit.

@hyperpod
Thank you.

From a company, shared hosting with linux.

Yes, I understand that but we haven't time to do an upgrade due to everyday news postings. So it is our fault.

Logs found. We will look them closely.

Thank you for helping on this.

What details do you need to identify if it's from server or xoops?

Hello guys.

Our site has been hacked and we wanted to know what exploit did they used to manage this.

Check here: [*link removed by request from the webmaster - herko*]

Massaged displayed instead of the last 10 news.

Xoops version we use 2.0.7.3.

Thank you for your time.

The hosting company increased the Allowed memory size and it worked, thank god!

But they insisted on taking me to a dedicated server. Is this normal? Does XOOPS needs so much memory if I have more than 150 members in "members group" to work?

I tried all methods for displaying any error message possible but nothing came up. It still displayed an "cannot find page" general error made by internet explorer.

I then looked at my server's log and I found this:

PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 41 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/betsmart.gr/httpdocs/mainsite/kernel/object.php on line 185

Is this possible to be related to the problem I am having?

Thank u for the reply. Appreciated.

Hi.

I have a weird problem suddently. I log in as an admin and I am trying to go to System->Groups->Members___Modify (http://www.mysite.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=groups&op=modify&g_id=2)
but I only get an error page (can't display this page) or a blank page. I can modify all the other groups as always, but the "members" group seems to have a problem all of the sudden. Please, my XOOPS friends, help me as I have up to 150 members and i don't want to lose them.

Thank you.

You were right, there was an internal error with their email delivery of phpmail() & sendmail. I pushed them and they found it after all (they were claiming all was good).

Thank you

Yes, I'm using PHPMail but what's its relation to the problem?

I asked them and they replied: We can't figure out, try updating xoops. I use XOOPS ver 2.0.7.3 which I think works great for others too with PHP v4.3.10. Anyway, I will change too a more "sofisticated" company, but in the meanwhile I want to correct this.

Thanks for replying.
