I figured out my problems now I need help with an answer.

When I set up my XOOPS site i had it set
// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://localhost/website/html');

website was finished and ready to go live.

my problem is when i publish it

all my links, themes, and pictures are set to be
http://localhost/themes/default/logo.gif

when i change the XOOPS virtual path to
(XOOPS_URL', 'http://domain/website/html');

all my themes work but i get this error when i log in on my administrator account and try to access the administration section.

This is the error i get after i log in and try to access administration section

You don't have the right to access this area

if i change it back to local host i can log in fine.

I am running xoop 2.9.0.2.
no firewall is running.

Any ideas?

Thank you for the responses, I really appreciate it.

I have no firewall running in my test environment. The weird part about this is when i set my site url back to localhost everything works.

This is the error i get after i log in and try to access administration section

Yes, I can still log on locally, it is a successful log on. It just removes my administration permissions.

At first i built my XOOPS site with this:

// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://localhost/website/html');

My administrator account could log in with out any problems. I could access my administration menu.

Now I am ready for internal users to test so i changed mainfile.php to this:

// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://Server/website/html');

Website works great over intranet except when i log on to my administrator account. It will log in successfully, but when i click on the administration menu i get you do not have permission.

All i changed was my xoops_url. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this?

Thanks in advance.

How do i put html into this and turn it into its own section that can be accessed from multi menu?

http://localhost/mct/modules/sections/index.php?op=listarticles&secid=1

this is where I want to be able to create a custom look to each section.

This is Section 1

The following are articles published in this section.

I have changed it to self, top, parent, blank and each one just displays the link on the next page of browser (have to click back to get to main page)

I am trying to figure it out so that it will be displayed all the time inbetween the left and the right part of the webpage.

Do i need to close or restart anything after i change the properties?

Thanks again.

I installed mulitmenu and created the links in multimenu1

The problem I am running into is when i click on the link it displays the link as its own page. How do I make it so it will display the information in the center of the main page?

Thanks in Advance.

if you are running IIS you will need to go there and add
index.php as an acceptable default home page.
