Got it! Thanks. Any way to make the poll read only for unregistered users?

I am unable to make my polls appear on the top page for unregistered visitors. Is this possible?

How can I make polls at least readable by all visitors? I would even like to allow everyone to vote for some of them perhaps. Thanks in advance. It's great fun to use xoops.

I desire to have one central text at the top of the main page. That would be some sort of an intro to the site. How do i make it stick and not get pushed down by news and other stuff. And in general I can't figure out how the ordering of display in the central area is controled. Thanks for any insight!

How do I make news topics visible to all users instead of registered ones only? It turns out that my start page is totaly blank until I log in. How do I make things visible to everyone? Sorry for the begginers question, but I can't figure it out. Thanks!

I need to publish a lot of sermons on my web (http://nic-nac-project.de/~david/). I would like to have let's say last 10 entered sermons on the start page with lets say first 250 characters of the sermon displayed on the start page available to all visitors and a 'read more' functionality that would enable all visitors (even the unregistered ones) to read the full sermon. Which module enables me to do this? Also is there anywhere on the web a XOOPS site that is packed with different content to which I could log on and check which modules are used for what and so on? Thanks for your work folks. XOOPS is really easy and powerful.
P.S. (First time using XOOPS and posting here :)
