I am actually only transferring it from one server within my apartment to another. I am just trying to get it working on LAMP, but it always returns a blank page.

Any other ideas?

Currently I'm only using the server name to access the sites. I changed the URLs in the mainfile.php, but no difference.

I am trying to transfer an existing site based on XOOPS 2.0.7.3 from a Windows/IIS/Mysql/PHP to a Linux/Apache 1.3.31/Mysql 4/PHP server.

When I try to access the site it comes up as a blank page. Any ideas for what to check to get the site up and running? I changed the paths in the mainfile.php to the correct locations where I copied the site's files.

I think I have read that this might be an issue with the template/theme, but I'm not sure where to start.

Any ideas would be helpful to get this site transferred.

Thanks!

Josh

I am currently running the latest version that can be downloaded. I think it is 2.0.7.1. I'm using it on IIS/Mysql.

Is there a patch to go from 2.0.7 to 2.0.7.1?

For my XOOPS install I am trying to use and apostrophe in the name of the site. Something like "Josh's Site". When it renders the name as the title it is using "Josh\'s Site" and adding the "\".

Is there a way to escape the ' so that I can get it to look how I want to?

Thanks,

hsalazar,

I understand that to the best I can. In the mainfile.php on IIS the path is 'D:\inetpub\wwwroot\sitename'. In the mainfile.php on the linux box it is '/srv/www/htdocs/sitename' which is underneath the default directory for Apache2.

any ideas?

I recently got XOOPS working an IIS/Mysql setup and am now trying to transfer it to a Suse 9.1 box with Apache2/Mysql.

I copied the database and website to the linux box but I can't get it to work.

I switched the IIS website to point to the linux database and it appeared to work correctly once I changed permissions for the user I had setup. When I went to login, it returned me to the main index.php page and said I wasn't logged in.

When trying to run from my full linux box (Apache2/Mysql) it won't even display the index.php page or any of the other pages. I changed the URL and location of the files in the mainfile.php but nothing is working.

For now I'm resorting to using the IIS/Mysql until I can get the Suse 9.1 install running.

Any ideas what might fix this situation?

Menu with links to blocks

I am trying to get my first XOOPS site up and I want to be able to have the menu on the left show links to blocks that I have created. I also want certain groups of users to be able to edit that content online.

Is there a general module that I can install that will allow me to have multiple copies of it so I can put it on my menu? The WYSIWYG Wiki module I found had a broken link.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
