I guess topic says it all.. Is there a file download module, where I can upload the files to be downloaded from a browser and then set which xoopsgroups can see/download the file?

Thats pretty much what I need - reviews and such are not important.. fileareas would be nice (permissions can be filearea based of course).

I havent seen this yet - but perhaps I have been looking the wrong place?

How to email post to Wordpress ME

I am using WordPress ME for XOOPS 0.33 and its running great.

However - I cannot get the post-via-email function to work.

I set up an email account (pop3) and checked that it works (telnet to port 110, log in w/ username password etc).

I set the same parameters up in the wordpress module under 'Settings for blogging via email'

I sent a bunch of testmails - they have the correct subject prefix (blog:)

Nothing ever shows up in the blog. regular blogging works fine. Is there a trick to trigger it to go get the email? or am I doing something wrong? :(

Help appreciated!

I was wondering if there is a way to put wiki like functionality in xoops?

ie, I want users to be able to add webpages and edit content. In my case fairly trusted already registered users.

what is the best way of doing this?

I emailed Marc who did the simsi program - it seems if anyone has some php/xoops skills he'd help out if needed. Just FYI to everyone *hint* :)

that sounds like a very good idea! I'm currently swamped with work (thanks to simsi, many clients have hired me as a programmer), but if someone else from XOOPS wants to take a shot, I'll be happy to help with any question that might come up - you'll see, it's not that complicated in the first place.

you're welcome - it's great to see my script in use everywhere...

Nice find! I wish someone would modularize or hack this.. I'm not a php coder by any means, so probably out of my league :(

I have the same problem. I deleted the default category and made my own so i'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I just get the headlines and not the actual news contents.

I have the same problem with headlines and a RSS newsfeed i set up...

I'd love some kind of moblog module / block where I can email pictures from my cellphone with a simple comment to an address that XOOPS then pop3's on regular intervals and posts to the website. A block perhaps for the mainpage where you could click in and see the rest of the pictures.

Categories and multiple emails / senders (for multiple moblogs) would be the icing on the cake.

Does something like this exist? A search for moblog yiels about 200 japanese pages and nothing on xoops.org :(

Thanks!!
