OK. Well, the problem solved itself after upgrading to 2.30. However the theme is entirely messed up now, which was the "error" I was referring with Quote:
I will try the upgrade to 2.30 but I remembered that this messed the system
Will have to check it against the default template.

Will travel along my road again...

Well I get the following error:

when trying to edit a forum. (Modules > Forums > (register) Forums > Select any Edit Button).

Xoops: latest (2.2.3)
Newbb: 2.01
LAMP: 2.0.54/4.0.X(MySQL)/4.3.10

Additionally (Modules > Forums > (register) Blocks) shows only blank page. Enabling PHP Debug shows:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: getbymodule() in /path/to/xoops_223/modules/newbb/admin/myblocksadmin.php on line 55
-----

Any idea? I will try the upgrade to 2.30 but I remembered that this messed the system. I will post again after the upgrade...

Some more informations. I tried a new installation again and this appears when submitting the DB informations:

File ../mainfile.php overwritten by ../mainfile.dist.php.
Constant XOOPS_ROOT_PATH written to /var/www/8.
Constant XOOPS_URL written to http://my.domain.here.
Constant XOOPS_DB_TYPE written to mysql.
Constant XOOPS_DB_PREFIX written to 1jN12u.
Constant XOOPS_DB_HOST written to localhost.
Constant XOOPS_DB_USER written to mydbuser.
Constant XOOPS_DB_PASS written to mydbpassword.
Constant XOOPS_DB_NAME written to mydbname.
Failed writing constant 1.
Constant XOOPS_GROUP_ADMIN written to 1.
Constant XOOPS_GROUP_USERS written to 2.
Constant XOOPS_GROUP_ANONYMOUS written to 3.
Failed writing constant 1.

Blank page submitting general settings

I searched the board and found this *enable PHP Debug with recovery.php* answer. My problem looks like the one described in the same thread, but my error message not:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /var/www/8/modules/system/admin/preferences/main.php on line 363


First I ran the fresh 2.1.1 installation, broke and than I tried the update process, broke again.

Server:
PHP Version 4.3.10-2
Apache/2.0.52 (Debian GNU/Linux)

Any ideas?

Well my theme is not very representative, as it is a (very) hacked version of x2t. (See it at localfoo.info), so the 200 errors and warnings are partially my fault. I have also some special modules integrated (ipb, mantis, etc.). So as mentioned above...

But if you follow this link to the validator you will find out, that www.xoops.org as well gets something around 100 errors and warnings...

Make it XHTML 1.0 compliant please!

I haven't got the time to browse alle entries here @ Roadmap forum, but if this was mentioned somewhere else, just forget it

Is there a possibility to make XOOPS XHTML 1.0 compliant? At the moment my portal (xoops 2.0.5) *generates* more than 200 errors and warnings...

Little Bug in xt2 theme (template)

Hey Guys (and Guysines )-

I don't know if this is the right place to post this little bug (perhaps this is only a fault on my side, but don't think so!) I am using a modified theme version of x2t and was wondering why the "plattform" was never shown on my side. So I found the error and it would be nice if you could correct it within next version!

The bug is in the template: mydownloads_downloads.html @ line 34

<td valign="middle"><{$down.plataform}></td>

which should be replaced by

<td valign="middle"><{$down.platform}></td>


so the os-version can be displayed on the downloadpage
