A full description of the issue:

I am having problems getting xcgallery to detect imagemagick
Where do i have to install it to get it detected by the gallery module? Does it have to be inside the www folder?
Does it have to be in a folder wihtout spaces in the name?
Can i have it in c:\program files\imagemagick ?and if yes what do i put in the fields that states the location
c:/program files/imagemagick ?

Thank you

Hello there

I seem to be facing the same problem. I have installed this on a W2K3 server and the location i have installed imagemagick on the server is C:\Program Files\ImageMagick

the location of the XOOPS installation is C:\AppServ\www\portal

when it asks me
Path to ImageMagick/Netpbm 'convert' utility (example /usr/bin/X11/)

i honestly don't understand what is the path i am supposed to put. Can someone explain please what i am supposed to configure in this field for XCgallery to find imagemagick?
Should i install imagemagick in another location on the server inside portal ?

thank you

the menu is built from a template (system/templates/system_block_mainmenu.html) and is an include from theme.html when you enable the main menu block in admin..

i went to portal/moduls/system/templates/blocks/system_block_mainmenu.html

and this is what i found in it.. this is the whole file

Resized Image

LINE 13 I added a few days ago myself

i have added a few days ago since i added a link to the main menu.. i did that following instructions from this forum from this link

viewing the source of the page from a browser is no good other than as a quick diagnosis.. if you want to change the layouts then you have to start looking at the actual templates. but the paths are taken from the xoops_url provided in mainfile.php

m0nty i am trying to understand but u must explain to me like am a 2 year old cause i didn' t quite get it yet...

i understand that my last step is to clear the template_c contents after i do some changes...but i don't understand what changes i should make.. i thought the mainfile.php looked ok? so what do i have to change?

if you have msn please add me so maybe u can give me a quick explanation over there...

thanks

Oke, forget about the html-files.
Let's check the mainfile.php again.
I am not sure how this one looks in XOOPS 2.0.7.

this is a copy paste of my mainfile exluding some passwords/user names
Quote:

if ( !defined("XOOPS_MAINFILE_INCLUDED") ) {
define("XOOPS_MAINFILE_INCLUDED",1);

// XOOPS Physical Path
// Physical path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', 'C:/Inetpub/www.pug-club.com/portal');

// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.pug-club.com/portal');

// Database
// Choose the database to be used
define('XOOPS_DB_TYPE', 'mysql');

then it gives some other things about user names/ passwords and continues with this stuff

// Use persistent connection? (Yes=1 No=0)
// Default is 'Yes'. Choose 'Yes' if you are unsure.
define('XOOPS_DB_PCONNECT', 0);

define('XOOPS_GROUP_ADMIN', '1');
define('XOOPS_GROUP_USERS', '2');
define('XOOPS_GROUP_ANONYMOUS', '3');

if (!isset($xoopsOption['nocommon'])) {
include XOOPS_ROOT_PATH."/include/common.php";
}
}
?>

if u change mainfile.php make sure you clear templates_c folder afterwards.. or your changes may not reflect straightaway.

when u say clear templates_c you mean completely delete all the files in there?? they are not important??

Guys as if the problems with my website weren't enough, now nothing in the administration works except the system module...Anything i press on any module sais "system does not exist"
and it redirects me to nowhere cause of the other problem i already stated in this section which isn't solved yet....

Anyone have any ideas?

Can anyone who knows their stuff check it? i can give you an admin user name and pass temporarily to check please...

edited : problems were fixed.. please someone delete this topic
