See what I have done :
= I have fixed the root-dir permissions to 755 & checked the mainfile.php to 444 & set the templates_c dir & nonSQL files to 777
= I have run your command-line in SQL .

Results :
- The ..../admin.php returned the very error message, others and me have seen before (but no SQL messages),
- but the Login Window now let me logon as an admin (no SQL messages)

Xoops 2.0.5.2 on CPANEL 9.3.0-CURRENT 4.
PHP version 4.3.4, MySQL version 4.0.18-standard

I have no idea how to activate the debug-level in myPHPAdmin ...

The permissions in templates_c were 777 & ok.

am I the only one without admin in the XOOPS-world
