When I created a simple custom block such as:

===========================================================

<table width="150" height="360" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td align="center" valign"center" height="160">
Content1
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td align="center" valign"center" height="160">
Content2
</td>
</tr>
</table>

==========================================================

No matter what I put in a cutom block the text in the title shows as a menu bar.

HOW DO I PREVENT THE MENU BAR FROM SHOWING?

DO CUSTOM BLOCKS ALWAYS REPRESENT A MENU TITLE AND MENU ITEMS?

Thanks.

Moving XOOPS To New Host

I have seen many post and articles on migrating XOOPS. Migration including the site as well as the database.

I am a little confused because most of the post say that the XOOPS host and database values are in mainfile.php. However; when I look at MAINFILE.PHP I see:

================================================

// XOOPS is not installed yet.
if(! defined('XOOPS_INSTALL')){
header('Location: install/index.php');
}

=================================================

How specifically do I change the XOOPS database name?

Is there a central location or file that contains all of the changable values necessary to migrate to another host?

If so where?

What is the procedure?

Thanks.

How To Add Content - Searchable, Wrap HTML and PHP?

I have tried my best to find a module that can add the following type of content:

1. Searchable on XOOPS site.

2. Wrap HTML and PHP

I have come close but no cigar. I tried both iContent and Freecontent. I liked Freecontent 3.0, but the search capability does not seem to work for me.

Does any have any suggestions on how to add content to XOOPS, which is searchable and can wrap HTML and PHP?

Is there a module that in fact will do this?

Thanks to everyone.

Freecontent 3.0 - Search Does Not Work!

Great Module, if only the I could get the search to work.

I could be wrong, but I thought Freecontent 3.0 had the abililty to add search words to the description field. This would allow those words to be included in a general XOOPS search.

Anyway, I have verified the Freecontent module is included in the search and the description words are included in the database.

However; when I attempt to perform a search using any of the words that are included within the comments field in the database - no results are found - EVER!

Does anyone know why this is not working?

Thanks.

1. Can iContent wrap HTML and PHP pages?

2. After Uploading A File - Where Is It? What Directory?

3. After Uploading A File How Can I Link To It With A Custom Menu Block?

4. Are The Wrapped Pages Searchable?

Thanks.

Choosing A Content Module?

Here are my requirements for a content module:

1. Upload HTML and PHP pages.

==============================================
2. Able To Add Link To Custom Block Menus.

==============================================
3. Page Contents Can Be Searchable - If possible.

===============================================
I do NOT need an article module, I just need to wrap an HTML or PHP page into XOOPS.

I have tried Freecontent and iContent so far. I know there are others out there. Can anyone provide any opinions on which module would suit my needs?

All opinions are welcome.

Thanks.

Freecontent 3.0 - How To Use?

I read the tutorial but I still do not understand.

OK, I am getting closer to understanding this module, but I need to know a couple of things first:

==================================================

1. Adding Freecontent Link To Custom Menu.

<a class="menuMain" href="{X_SITEURL}/modules/freecontent/index.php?id=10">Link Name</a>

Link Name is anything I type in. I do not think that it has anything to do with a content connection. Is this true?

DOES THIS LOOK CORRECT?

===================================================

2. Creating New Content Connection.

Title - What is this used for specifically?

Description - Is this the info that goes into the DB for searching purposes?

Hidden - Freecontent block does not show. See question 3.

===================================================

3. Freecontent Block Does Not Show.

I have the Freecontent block listed as visible, left side and all pages, but there is no Freecontent block showing anywhere. What is wrong?

Thanks.

Thanks much for the reply.

What about the Freecontent custom block listed in the admin block section. Is that suppose to show anywhere?

Thanks again.

Freecontent 3.0 - Missing Basic Concept!

I have installed Freecontent 3.0. It seems to be working; However; I must admit I am clueless about a couple of things:

1. Freecontent Block

Even with visible set to yes, all pages, and left side selected nothing is displayed.

A menu with the title freecontent should be displayed with contents. Right? No?

2. Creating Custom Menu With Freecontent Links

I have several custom block menus. How can I add a menu item that will link to freecontent content connections?

For example, let's say I upload a file called test.html and assign a link id of 10 to it. How would I access this page in my custom block menu?

Thanks to everyone. This forum is the greatest!

Freecontent 3.0 - How does digest work?

I installed Freecontent 3.0 - Impressed!

However; I have the freecontent and the magic news block visable and I do not see any digest items.

My default freecontent contains 23 or so content links. Most of which are digest items. How are these digest items displayed?

Do I need another module in addition to freecontent 3.0?

Thanks.
