Editing Registration Page _US_WEBSITE

Without recreating the entire page how would I change the variable "_US_WEBSITE" on the registration page from WEBSITE as shown to UNIT? I am seting up a XOOPS site for some apartments as acommunity safety portal and want to substitute the WEBSITE for their APARTMENT Number thus the UNIT.

The submit variables can stay the same but I wast the user to register a UNIT Number and not a WEBSITE.

Code appearing in admin or user pages only?

When I open my XOOPS page it is clean and perfect. When I login as a user or admin I have a code visable in the top of the page );

I can't find out how to remove it without reinstalling and I have put many hours in without a backup "YET".

Any ideas would help...With a user or admin login the source is the following:

Slow Loading Index or Main Page

I installed 1.3 around a year ago and it has been running flawlessly until last month when the front page started loading slowly. Now weeks later it crawls for around a minute or two before loading. The rest of the site runs perfect and all the modules work. I replaced the index page and gave the mainfile page a thorough lookover. I know in the 2.0 versions there are database optimizing utilities but if anyone has any ideas on what to do besides a wipe and load, send them my way...

Default Front Page (News)

I am using 2.06 and set the default front page to BLANK but no matter what I do I get the NEWS module as the beginning page? I have checked the mainfile, template, theme, etc.
It is not set to direct to news but goes to it every time the site is opened. Any ideas guys!

I have tried several modules as start page and even NO module but the news keeps showing. I reloaded the Index.php and checked the startpage and mainfile to see if there was anything whacky. Even removing the module NEWS sends the start page to a "module not found" error.

I installed 2.0.6 and all is well. However I set the default front page module to FAQ and it goes to /modules/news every time. I looked at the INDEX.PHP and the THEMES and the NEWSMODULE with no luck. I even tried to set a center block as the default page for the middle of the site and it continues to load /modules/news as the default. I removed the NEWS module and it still goes to /modules/news just gave error module not available. I have been looking at it all day with no luck. I set the default beginning page to NONE and what shows /modules/news
It is like a bad rash that won't go away. I mean I like news and all but it is wearing me down. I will sleep on it and look again tomorrow. Any help is appreciated as usual.

It was transferring files with a ^m on the end.
Had to send as binary and un-DOSify them and now it works.
But I have a block in the center and when loading shows the NEWS every time. I have NONE set for default home page and the news is not activated but get a news page each time.

I am not sure as I am using F-Secure SSH. I am hoping it was ASCII. My web page is at www.usenetprovider.com and every few loads the news is present in the center block? Even though it is set to BLANK and the news is not assigned to a block. I think you are correct and the trasfer is corrupt as I have loaded 2.0.6 and 2.0.3 just to check and get the same results.
