samuels has modified my dowloads currently called my downloads pro to include user uploads it also includes group and individual user permissions

in general settings

Upload Directory (No trailing slash)
currently reads
uploads
change to:
modules/mydownloads/uploads

Before you do this
an uploads directory must be created in the modules/mydownloads folder then chmod to 777

samuels how would I add diff or more mimetypes that are allowed

I created an upload directory in my downloads module. and set it to 777

In admin settings uploads should go to modules/mydownloads/uploads

That way it keeps it seperate from any others that upload in the main upload directory

It seems to be working fine for me

also if you disallow direct linking you may get this message check that setting.

I did find that in mine but I just set it to no
and everything works fine

I use a combination of XOOPS and frontpage. I connect from XOOPS to the Frontpage htm files through new block Just add the url of the page.And name your block. You can set up those games your speaking of on fronpage then connect

Thanks Brash. Now I do feel stupid I passed it over several times.
I got uploads to work through admin ....file upload when adding new category
had to add
modules/mydownloads/uploads set uploads to 777

cant get user submit to work heres the error I get:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class xoopsmediauploader
html/modules/mydownloads/class/uploader.php on line 86

I think this mod is great thanks for the hard work. You may think Im stupid but I am very new to xoops. How do I turn on debug.php?
Or do I need to install a debugging module?

I don't have a problem with admin upload it works fine. But when a file is submitted through submit.php the screen turns white and is blank the file dosent get uploaded or submitted
