1) How can we change the permission to disallow registered users to submit news?

2) Can we create another user group for news posting?

Thanks for the info, Richard. But the weblog module doesn't fit my site. I tried to download the Lykos blocks module(I've no idea if it suitable) but I couldn't get a correct link....even at the author site.

Where is the block module??

The XOOPS link of Lykos Blocks module is directed to Syndication download only. I can't find it in your site either.

I want to display some news in expanded form in my "home" page(i.e. admin panel -->> Site preferences -->> General settings, set "None" as the default module)

I know that the Spotlight module allow us to display one news in expanded form and some headlines.

Is there any module or php-code allow us to display 3 or 4 news(expanded) in the "home" page as a block?

Thanks

According to the installation instruction, we need to copy all XOOPS 2 files to the root web directory and then start the install by typinghttp://www.yoursite.com/

Because my site is currently running phpbb forum at the root. Can I copy all XOOPS 2 files to another directory? (e.g. /home/xoops/) And start the install by typinghttp://www.yoursite.com/xoops/

Is it safe to install by this method?

Pls advise, thanks.
