Hmm, I use the build-in imagemanger for some time now and suddenly I have this image he won't upload. First of all the facts:
- I have a jpeg-image (width=135 height=191)
- the max in the imagemanager category is width=135 and height=210
- Uploading images works with other pictures in same and other categories
- XOOPS 2.0.6 installed

The now thing is, that every time I try to upload this specifiy image the imagemanager says the height is to big, but it isn't. I tried saving the image in other formats - no effect with the upload.

Has anyone experienced the same or a similar problem like this?

well don't you basically need 2 groups of banner? One with the normal size (468x60 pixels) and another for the second banners?

I'd like to use the banner module with multiple banners in various sizes and in 2 or different places (e.g. one in the header another in a block) at my website. That's not possible with the normal banner module isn't it?

So what can I do?

The thing is - XOOPS seems to temporarily store the uploaded files (icons, avatars ...) at "/tmp/[tempfilename]". The Server that we have our files on has a basedir_restriction and the tmp-folder lies parallel to our html/php files (e.g. "/home/www/username/tmp/[tempfilename]"). That's the reason why we can't upload files via xoops.

I wrote php-files which handled uploading files in the past on that server and it worked. That's why I was wondering if there's any way to adjust the tmp-Folder in xoops. Otherwise I have to find out if someone has done changes to the php installation.

Unfortunately on my webserver the tmp-folder for uploads via php is in a different path than XOOPS is looking for. Is there any way to adjust the path in XOOPS so my users will be able to upload their own pictures?

I was wondering too. How can you change the tmp-folder of xoops?

Is there any gallery mod that's able to add a bunch of images from it's categories to a news from the xoops-news-module?

The problem is the following:
I'd like to write a news entry and add about 5-10 pictures to that. The pictures should also be added to a new category within the gallery module that uses the same name as the title from my news entry.

So in the end it should be like this:
- uploading a few pics into a new category
- attach the category to a specific news entry
