I have a table with 1300 users in a MySQL database, and this table has been imported from a XLS file directly to the users table of XOOPS. What I can't import, obviously, are the passwords, because they are stored encrypted. I'd like to assign all of the passwords identical to the users names, and later each user would have to change them. Is there a way to assign multiple passwords with a php code, instead of the tedious task through XOOPS Admin ?

Does it exist a block or module to send mail to users in an easy way ? The only I've found is the Mail to users system module, but I'd like to do that from the users side and with a possibility to pick users... Thanks.

For some reason I don't know, the Control Panel of XOOPS Admin Module has stopped showing. I haven't changed anything, but I can't access to the left menu panel. The admin page looks like this:

I can select XOOPS news to show up, and the users' side (home page) is working fine, but not the Control Panel.
Can anyone help with this ? Thanks in advance.

INFINITE LOGIN LOOP

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.16.

When I enter with my username and password to my XOOPS site, and try to access a module as simple as "Contact" (directly through its URL) that I don't have permissions to, the system gets into an infinite loop with the message "You don't have permissions to .... If the page doesn't reload automatically, please click here..."

Of course I've previously entered to the admin page and modified the permissions of the registered users group unmarking the module "Contact" in the "module access privileges" section.

Can anyone try this and tell me if it is a system problem ?

I need to pick "uname" and "name" variables up (that come from login), in order to use them in other subroutines.
How do I recover these variables from any other piece of code ?
