Welcome to Xoops. I'm still learning XOOPS but I can answer one of your questions. For the welcome block just go into your blocks admin and add a new block. At the bottom of the blocks listing is a place where you can type or cut and paste from your favorite html editor what you want. Place it as center center and you'll have to play with it to get in the right spot with positioning. After creating the block be sure to check your group permissions to make sure everything in there is correct.

I like the features of xc gal, but how do I turn off the debug screen. I scanned a couple of the files but can't find where to remove it. Thanks for the help.

I found a copule of quizzes but there for the older version of xoops. is there one that works with 2.xx. The one i found works but when you answer the questions it loads a new page and takes you out of your site. I am impressed with XOOPS so far and want to use it on my site I just need to finish a couple things and one of them is this quiz module.
