Why don't we consider it as XOOPS bug ?? AND FIX IT

By the way, there is no way one can technically stop someone from copying IMAGE / CSS / HTML / FLASH (or any other content which is served to browsers directly).

The best we can do is, hide smarty templates (move it to db).

Many sites force us to register there before we can download their developed theme. Not possible for many of us, if that is a non-english site.

View source of any page with that theme, look for style.css link, it will take you to themes folder. There is a default 'index.html' in that folder preventing you from leeching it.

But ok. We know for sure that, theme.html and style.css is there. GET THEM. See the sorce, it will tell you what other files you need to leech, may be few more .htm and images.

Say, I want to enforce some kind of username format, which should be used for registration...

some kind of regex check, like what I mentioned inhttps://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&topic_id=12932&forum=20

I guess core-hack is only way to achieve this...

btw, register.php (line 89-91 is redundant, no blank is possible after strict/medium/loose restriction check)

I need to configure XOOPS so that it only allows users with format {name}{year_in_2_digit}{breanch_code}

example -> sudhaker97ec is a valid one

Followings are the list of branch code:
m, c, e, pr, me, ch, ec, mi, cs

If I'll use "\d{2}(m|c|e|pr|me|ch|ec|mi|cs)\z" in "Preferences Main »» User Info Settings »» Enter names that should not be selected as username"

this will filter users exactly what i wish to permit.

I am looking for options other than hacking register.php

Thanx.

Guys,

Is there any documentation explaining internals of XOOPS available to public? Essay, DFD, UML kinda stuff for ease of understanding.

Wiki only tells about Theme & Module

Thanks,
