Just something to check, make sure that you have checked "yes" to "check template for modifications in system/preferences/general. If this is not checked yes then your changes will not show up.

Bandit-X,

Thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate it. The fix worked perfectly (you can see it athttp://churchthatcares.org/modules/news). I am quite certain I would have not found that for a while. Thanks again.

unfortunately, it is not that easy. It looks like they made the variable the combined "category:title" so to delete the variable in the template file deletes both. that was the first thing I tried.

I am using wordpress for XOOPS 2.04 and XOOPS 2.0.16.

I have tried installing numerous plugins for wordpress and none of them seem to work. Is there something I am missing?

When a user reaches a page that they do not have access to, they get a message that says "you do not have permission to view this page" and then a redirect back to the module home page. Where is this code to determine the redirect location?

Specifically I am talking about icontent. The redirect is tohttp://mysite.com/modules/icontent/index.php. I would like to change that redirect tohttp://mysite.com.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for this? Thanks in advance for the help.

BDW,
If all you are looking for is to have a working jeroen wijering MP3 player within XOOPS you can put one in a block or an empty module. I have them both ways athttp://churchthatcares.org. The video player on the front page is a jeroen wijering FLV player. I have about 4 more players (mp3 and flv) once you log into the site.

If you could ever get the player working then adding it to XOOPS is easy. Format it just like you would to add it to any html page, then past it into a block.

It seems like the first time i used it i had the same problem. I think the fix was to change the names of the directories from anything that says mp3 (for example change flash_mp3_player to flash_music_player). For some reason it doesn't like that.

The module is a great idea and i am sure it will be great when it is finished, but if you only want 1 player you don't need a big module.

Dude, I am with you. I think I tried every XOOPS calendar out there and there was a significant reason why each one of them wouldn't work right. I ended up scrapping all of the XOOPS calendar modules and using Google calendar (actually 9 of them) and importing them in an iframe.

I actually imported them into a php file, changed google's css, then imported them into my site. It works great for us because it is much easier to have the church secretary change a google calendar than mess with the site.

I imported ther agenda view on the front page into a block and made a custom module to import the main calendar view.

Thanks for the feedback pepe. I took the flash news ticker off of the guest side so you only see it after you log in (wrapped it in an if statement).

The flash header is only visible on the front side, after you log in, it is replaced with a jpg version of the same header.

I am using RSS Fit fromhttp://brandycoke.com. I have not found a way to integrate the wordpress feed into the main feed (you are supposed to have a main combined feed and then offer each feed individually; news, downloads, blog). I went iunto the RSS fit template and manually added the wordpress existing feed to make it show up on the same page.
