Hallo!

It did not create any tables at all!

I did create them manually and the error showed up once again.

I will now try to remove the part as you suggested and report here the results.

Until then,

Thanks for your attention and for your lovely work...

Hello Bender!

Here is a thread opend by myself and was perhaphs never ever noticed by any of the core developers:

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?forum=28&topic_id=45176

Due to this, I had to throw the entire XOOPS installation, after importing 40.000 users and generating about 23 sites as subsites, into the garbage. The installation was useless for the non-profit organisation and I have wasted more then 10 days.

Hello Bender!

When you advise other users of upgrading it to 2.2.4, which is what I am using, please also advise togather, that using this new extended feature in the latest version has terrible terrible drawback in terms of creating fields numbers, especially if the user searches for an User Management function.

Please note that the CORE TEAM do not and did not take my message seriously when I posted here.

The fact is if one create more than about 25 fields in the extended modules table, the Group function stops working. Thereafter, the left to right shifting of users DOES NOT show up.

Hence, this piece of information is and could be very valuable for the user who is currently looking for this particular function.

I stood foolish before a non-profit organisation, even working for free, after importing 40.000 users database taking a challenge to install 70 websites as cloned from Multisites module (designed by Mitrandir) and then sometime later all the stupid users disappeared in the group management area. People do joke about it, which only discredits myself for me trusting the developers and not checking it out in the first place.

We are forced to stop the project until the CORE developers take a bit of time and listen to my message for once, which drives me nuts now!

Hallo Dkeir!

I have problems to install zentrackXoops 2.6.0.4 RC1. Following is the error shown:

-------------
You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'xoops_( user_id int(12) not null default '0', prefname varc
-------------

Following are some details of the env:

Xoops version 2.2.4

PHP Version::4.3.7
MySQL Version::4.0.18-standard-log
XOOPS Version::XOOPS 2.2.4
safemode:ON
register_globals:ON
magic_quotes_gpc:ON
XML extension:ON
MB extension:ON

I really have my doubts if this is a MySQL error, which you suspected. I think it could be a table_prefix error as it says. I have seen that the zentrack scripts for XOOPS do not use table prefix. Does it work that way?

Any ideas?

Hallo!

Can someone contact the developers of this software please and help them to make a bridge (Extensions) for Xoops!

http://www.vtiger.com

Also it would be very good if one of the developers appoints responsible people to make such contacts that helps integration of XOOPS with other scripts.

Thanks

Hi!

I am also using it on a production site.

II find it a bit too much to continue this state of unhealthy Versioning and postponing of Upgrade possibilities with 2.2.4!

People get confused. Users who uses or made update has to wait for ages before 2.4 comes out. This is a punishment not deserved at all.

On one side XOOPS lacks a lot of functions that Joomla and other CMS has. Now there is one more gigantic stricke that 2.2.4 users have to sit down and pray to god, before the CORE team breaks-ups. Hope this does not happen here AGAIN like it did with Mambo!

However, if you are using 2.2.4, sleep well as I DO NOT think it is as buggy as being populated into others head. The CORE programmers have taken a careful distance to discuss over this matter and silently continue to program 2.3, which I hope comes out one day!

Hallo!

I came across one of the best database backup utility I have ever seen. I was wondering if someone could convert this into a XOOPS module. [b]Do not underestimate the power of this lovely utility. Just install and see the beautify of programming!

More details you may find it here:

Click here to visit the website
Download the english version here

Here are some of the functions provided by mysqldumper:
* mysqldumper can read Dumpfiles from other Scripts via the integrated parser (for example from phpMyAdmin)
* Security: mysqldumper can generate a .htaccess-file to protect itself and all of your backup-files
* mysqldumper can do Multipart-Backups. That means: mysqldumper can automatically split the dumpfile if it gets bigger than your chosen size. When you want to restore a backup and choose the wrong part - it doesn' matter => mysqldumper will notice that and will get the correct startfile automatically.
* automatic Errormodul
* MiniSql => You have access to your MySQL-Tables. You can delete tables, edit or insert data. You can run/ save any SQL-Statement.
* Database-Overview: look at running processes or even stop them
* very good file-overview => backups of the same database are shown as one entry. Click it to see all of the files.
* automatic file-deletion => set your own rules to delete old backups. Specify the age or the number of files when it will be deletetd automatically to save server webspace.
* Perl Cronscript done => all features of the PHP-Script are now integrated in the Perlscript that can be started via a Cronjob
* Configuration can be set seperatly for each Script (PHP and Perl)
* befor you start a backup all your parameters are shown again, so you definitely know what you are doing
* Send Emails with or without your dumpfile attached / you can set the maximum size of the attachement. If it grows bigger it won't be attached.
* Send dumpfiles via FTP to another Server. This is also working using the multipart feature.
* Faster backups und restore (compared to older versions of mysqldumper)
* ect. ect. ect ...

Hallo!

Anathor option is to wait until 2.3 comes out. Skalpa said that he will program the permissions so that each page could have group/permission access.
