you already can. When a user uploads to their gallery they can select one as their default image... which = avatar

again, I simply cannot stop raving about this module. My only hope is that the next version is an upgrade, and does not force a complete reinstall.

you aren't supposed to touch that file. It is part of the XOOPS core. Reupload that file and set wfchannel as your start page through the admin panel.

XOOPS does not require fopen. In fact if you had protector installed you would be encouraged to turn it off if it were on.

I am pretty sure he is not talking about banners (as in ads) but in banners (as in logos).

I am still not sure why you are editing the XOOPS core. You can set the module as your home page without touching the core.

Frankly, I am not sure anyone here is going to be able to answer your question as it seems you have done something unusual, which may have worked at one time... Although, I am still not sure how or why it ever worked.

Why dont you try uploading a fresh copy of xoops, and pointing it at your db. Make sure you upload the same vers.

(include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in....

Did they also upgrade the apache // php versions? The error text is talking about wrappers... I have never seen XOOPS say anything about wrappers. Which is why I believe its the server, not the software.

Although the include statement for wfchannel in index is really odd. Which is why I thought he had it set as his start page.

IDK, check with your host andd ask them if they did anything else.

So you created a custom module? Did you hook the modules?

Restore a backup. not from a day or two ago, but from at least a few weeks.

Then upgrade your site, if it doesn't work you can always restore the backup again.

Install protector this time.

No Backups? oopsey.

wfchannel set as you start page?

Try

yoursite.com/user.php <-- Login
yoursite.com/admin.php

disable wfchannel as your module start page. Tell us if the site works now.

Also, Xoops_version, Module _versions?
