Hi gang, I'm trying to post a news item, but it just hangs out in the "Waiting Contents" area and won't post to the News area. I've tried to "Set the date/time of publish", I've tried "Move this story to top" and I'm stuck. Help! Thanks!

Yeah, the auto-installer screwed it up, so I am just going to start from scratch. Thank you guys for your knowledge!

Ok, thanks everybody! I see I have a lot to learn here, but I'll keep on working at it.

Cheers!

Hmmm... I did the install directly on the hosting server -- it's included in my hosting plan, I wonder if it screwed up somehow. Anyhow, the domain name is www.beerloverseverywhere.com, but I have to type in www.beerloverseverywhere.com/xoops/html/ in order to get to the login screen. I'm kinda lost, can I move this post to the Newbie forum?

I want to be able to just type www.domainname.com. Right now I am just getting the "parked" page when I go to the domain name -- how do I make it go to the XOOPS login screen? (BTW, not sure why I posted this question in the Theme forum... should be in NOOB forum)

Hi all, what do I have to do in order to make my site available at www.domainname.com instead of at www.domainname.com/xoops/html/ ??? Probably pretty simple -- tried to search but came up empty. Thanks for the help!

Hi all, sorry for my ignorance here... I'm trying to display a custom block on my start page. I simply want to explain what the site is about and invite people to register for the site. In the general preferences menu, I only have the option to display certain modules for the start page, and the custom block I've built isn't on the list. Help! Perhaps I am trying the wrong method altogether.
