Hi everyone,

I want to change the following line of code, so that the image that is called (the avatar image) only has a certain dimension, like 100px x 100px for example. I know how to add this image property to a "regular" image link, but how do I do it in php? How do I modify the following code?

<img src='".XOOPS_UPLOAD_URL."/".$thisUser->getVar('user_avatar')."' alt='".$thisUser->getVar('uname')."' />

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi everyone,

I want to be able to hide the profile activity (the actions that you have taken in each module, which are shown at the bottom of the user profile page) from all users EXCEPT the user who has that profile. In other words, I only want each user to be able to see their own site activity on their profile page, but not the activity of others, when looking at someone else's profile page.

Any ideas on how this hack can be done?

Thanks!

Jeff

Hi everyone,

I have purchased the script Amember (http://www.amember.com/), which comes with an XOOPS plugin, to bridge with Xoops. However, the plugin was not designed for the 2.0.x branch, and I am using 2.0.16...

Does anyone have a modified plugin for this branch, or any other hints on how to get things working?

Thanks!

Jeff

you need "dugris form hack" for this to work....search for it, and you will find it...

there is also the classifieds module by jlmzone ....again, search, and you will find the address (no time to get it for you, sorry!). This may be the better option.

Hope that helps,

yes, there are several different ways that you can do this... (incorporate content from outside of XOOPS into Xoops, if that is what you are asking.

1. Use one of the several content modules, which allows you to "wrap" outside pages in your module.

I think the TinyD module does this...

2. Or, you can use the Wraps module, which allows you to wrap any outside page so that it appears as a module in Xoops. I believe this mod is just called Wraps.

thanks for the download, I was just looking for that module.

BTW, I really like what you have done here:

http://churchthatcares.org/modules/facilities/

Is that done with MyMaps? or just the regular Google Map functions..

Cheers,

Linking regular html form with one made in Liaise

Hi everyone,

I would like to know if the following is possible:

I want to create a simple form on an html page

The form would mirror a dynamic form that I make in the liaise module

When someone fills in my html form, I want the data to be processed in the liase module, just as if I had filled out that form. The liaise module would basically act as normal, I just wouldn't be using the dynamic form page to enter the data...I would be using the html form page that I created elsewhere.

The reason I want to do this, is because of two reasons.

1. I can make a better-looking form on an html page, rather then changing the templates of the liaise module.

2. I want to add dhtml tooltips beside some form fields...and I don't know how to do this with the form page that is generated from Liaise.

I would like to know:

1. Has anyone ever done this before, and if so, what are your experiences?
2. Any other advice you have on this matter!

Thanks!

jeffgr

I can't even get this module to work so that it displays plain html files as a test...I just can't figure out the intallation instructions properly I guess.

Yes, even if I was able to wrap this script, there would still be two login systems...one for xoops, and one for phpizabi. While I WOULD like the two apps to share the same logins, I was just going to run them side by side for the moment, and use the phpizabi signup/user accounts instead of the XOOPS one. I would hack the XOOPS theme and blocks so that the user and register links etc. point to the phpizabi site, and would just ignore the user account on XOOPS for now.

Although it would be great if someone wanted to figure out how to bridge these two scripts! :)
