Repeated login

I and some of my members are finding that we often have to re-login in during a visit to my site. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions? There have even been times when I got booted and it would not let me back in. I would have to close the browser and reopen in order to login. Any help would be appreciated.

Has someone developed a latest posts block (forum)? My members would like to be able to look at the front page and determine if a new item has been posted to a certain topic. They can open the forum and see this of course but is there away to put this on the front page without making forum the front page?

I have a couple of questions about WF-Section:

1. When people try to submit articles they see the XOOPS editor rather than WYSIWYG editor. When I edit the article or go through admin then I get the WYSIWG editor. Why does the wysiwyg editor not show up on the submit article front end?

2. Contributors are not allowed to edit their own articles. Is there a fix or hack which will allow them to edit their articles?

Thanks herko. I am still new at this and have not attempted a database dump and merge. Can you explain in a little more detail or tell me where such information can be obtained on the web. Thanks again.

Is it possible for XOOPS to be running on two databases? I have two databases showing in MySQL and only one XOOPS install. They both seem to have data in them as well. What should I do?

The only problem I am experiencing is that there are times when I am booted out and now allowed to log back in, just keep getting the login message over and over again. Other than that, which is a frustration, everything seems to work fine.

I am using FlashChat 3.8 and would like for members to see who is in the chat room from the front page. Is there a way to add a block to the front page that would show who is in the chat room. By the way, this is an excellent chat module.

MS Frontpage

I have been running a site with ms frontpage for a couple of years. I want to switch to XOOPS on this site but run both frontpage and XOOPS together during the transition. Is anyone doing this? Can XOOPS run on a site with frontpage extensions?

Yes I installed it like a regular module and I can see it in the mod directory.

I am not sure what the permissions are supposed to be. Preferences do not work.

The module loads and looks fine - just does not work.
