Hi,

The problem is that you have put your XOOPS in a subfolde of your web space. If you want to have a www.mydomain.com you should have in the root folder of your web space the content of the html folder you can find in the XOOPS distribution.
If you would not have to install a new XOOPS at the root folder you can play with a frame but it's a pity for referencing

you can define a special class in your css file and use it in your code for the block

the footer can also be an image..... look in your image subfolder.
(although XOOPS is under an open source license it is always kind to leave information XOOPS in the footer :))

I thing you have altered the file theme_blockleft.html
have you

the best solution is to customize a theme and fine tune your theme trought the 3 CSS Files. You could learn many tips for building themes on docs.xoops.org in the official documents
