I'm having problems with the default editor. None of the edit commands work. I can hard code <b></b>, etc. and it shows fine, but none of the buttons work. They don't do anything when they are presses.

Any idea what might be wrong and how I can get it to work?

Thanks
Frank

I did do a search thanks... Many are not specific to PD-Downloads.

And, as I said in my original post, my host has allowed me a 12 meg upload limit.

My files are all under 12 megs but still won't upload.

I'm really stumped and so is my host server. My htaccess is set to allow 20 meg uploads. PD-Downloads is set to allow 20 meg uploads. The image file under system admin is set to allow 20 meg uploads. Because it's not a dedicated host I don't have access to php.ini but my host tells me I am set for 12 meg uploads. The settings are as follows:

Safe Mode Status: OFF
Register Globals: ON
Server Uploads Status: ON
Max Upload Size Permitted: 20M
Max Post Size Permitted: 8M
Max Time for running scripts: 30 s

How can you change the Max Post Size? That may be the problem but there's no setting accessible in PD-Downloads the change it.

Or is it another problem and does someone know how to fix it? My max file size is about 12 megs.

Thanks
Frank

Yes, In system admin/preferences/user info settings it's set Allow new user registration? Yes and Select activation type of newly registered users; Requires Activation by User (Recommended).

Here's a strange one.....

I'm about to go live with my new XOOPS site. A friend who was checking it out for me tried to register and couldn't. I didn't notice until they pointed it out but there is not option to register new users on any of the menus.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

You can check out the test site at

I've tried a few of the external features on the site, but they don't work because they can't findhttp://localhost/etc. So obviously I have to make some changes to links, etc. before I upload. And I can't find a feature to backup the database in phpmyadmin.

Any advice would be helpful and appreciated.

Thanks

A response would be appreciated. I uploaded and get the error"XOOPS path check: Script is not inside XOOPS_ROOT_PATH and cannot run." When I created the cms on my laptop it was in a subdire called xoops. bit I don't want it there now. I want the index.php to be accessed directly from my url not www.url.com/xoops/index.php. How can I fix this?

My tables are getting messed up too.

I pagewrap an html file in Smartsection and only the table outline appears. The lines inside the borders don't appear. My tables don't make sense without the lines.

How do I fix this. If I look a the the html page outside of XOOPS it appears fine.
