OK - it's taking a bit longer than I anticipated to get this module worked out; the privacy functions are being quite bothersome! The functions are working when called directly, but not when called from within another function

I have not had any response from the module developers, and the PGV team is pretty quiet on this subject. So, it looks like I'll go ahead on my own.

@script_fu - thanks for the offer! Which version of XOOPS are you using? I'm only working in 2.0.13.1 for now. I'm sure the authentication will be much different for 2.2

I like the layout - clean and uncluttered. The Welcome block looks promising, but I expected more detail when I clicked on the links, not to be directed to the submission forms, some of which unregistered users don't have access to.

How/why did you enclose your web links in a frame? The result in my browsers was another window, and the 'back to roguevalleychristian.org' left me with 2 windows of the same web site, but different pages.

Graphics and photos have been well placed and distributed throughout the site, but don't overwhelm it and slow it down.

Stay focused on your purpose and continue in a great form of ministry! There are some great resources out there.

Have you submitted your site to YAXS news? You tend to get more comments there

The Koivi editor includes a modified system_imagemanager.html file that needs to replace the core XOOPS file.

At the PGV site, there is a download in the patch area that gives a start to integrating this awesome (and free!) genealogy program into Xoops. I have been working with that and the latest release of PGV (3.3.5), and I am about ready to put this out for testing. I have left messages in the dev.xoops project and the pgv site indicating this. I would like to proceed as a part of those groups.

So far, the integration is working quite well on my test servers, but I do have a few things to work out - mostly user authentication using XOOPS instead of the pgv user management. I have not migrated my family web site to Xoops, yet, so there isn't anyplace you will be able to view this, yet. I have been waiting for the pgv module to work before I make the move online. I am currently using pgv on my site for my family trees, but it's not in Xoops, and I haven't updated it to the latest version - knowing I will be making the move to XOOPS shortly.

It sure would be nice to have a test server out there for module testing and reviewing!

Newer versions of Protector has a prefix manager that allows you to change your prefixes. Your SQL files should NOT have any prefixes in them, they are added during the installation of the modules. But, your mainfile.php will need to be modified once your tables are renamed.

I'm not sure how 2.2.2 handles table prefixes, especially if it was an upgrade.

have you tried defining OL LI {}? Most themes have an LI defined and it will affect your list

The project in dev.xoops hasn't been very active, but there is a patch available at the phpGedview site. I've been working on getting it cleaned up with the latest pgv code (3.3.5) and XOOPS 2.0.13.1 - the basic problems center around id and class selectors that conflict with XOOPS core style selectors. Additionally, the pgv themes need to be adapted for inclusion in Xoops.

I haven't posted it to a public server, yet, just been testing it locally for now. I should be able to finish it by the end of the week.

Are you using a custom template set? Check your template files - Administration > System > Templates and make sure all the files have been generated. And, in your general preferences, set it to update your template.

Edited: do you have this module cached? If you do, set the cache to none, then check the page again.

There is a simple hack to restrict photos in the random block to a specific album - see the XoopsGallery forum topic

I really don't think the problem is coming from XOOPS - you're getting server messages, not XOOPS messages.

Before you go radical and wipe everything, try deleting everything in the template_c directory to regenerate the cached files.
