I had this problem when I was using Host4Students.com as my host. They use Ensim with Safe Mode On. I think that safe mode had something to do with it because any time I uploaded anything, or had the system itself make files like these temp files, my ftp programs would not delete them. I'd get this error. I eventually just had to log into the control panel for my hosting account and delete them that way.

At bottom, there is a selection utility to define whether to upload or store as BLOB (Binary Large Object) in Database.

Hope this helps.

I don't think myalbum will be affected by that. I think that only applies to images uploaded through that specific XOOPS admin utility.

Question: I have Madrake 10 running. From my windows xp pro pc, I am able to view the apache page (which I changed to a custom page). When I type in my ip address from my cousin's house (right across the street), I get the "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" page.

Both of my machines are running through a router, with a hole punched in it for and to the linux box. I wouldn't think that being on the same router would have anything to do with it, but since this is all new to me, I figured that I'd ask you guys. I'm planning on sticking a XOOPS site on it when I'm finally able to use it.

Make sure that this is in the "Album list view: The content of the main page" section in the xcgal preferences:

alblist

Mine for sidebreak.com looks like this:

catlist/alblist/lastup,1

btw, the sites look pretty good :thumbsup

Well, when I said that I was refering to the html and what ever else is viewable by clicking "View Source", which in this case, you aren't allowed to do.

Well, who ever made the site forgot that if you save the page, you get the code.

If the users are forced to rate and comment a song before being able to download another, you'll end up having problems from users. The ratings won't be very accurate and comments might consist of just a few words, complaints, or just "fhkdjsahf" so they can get to the next download. People will rate things low just because they are annoyed with having to rate it.

what is redaktion?

With the ability to specify how much space a group has, or how many files they can upload, you should have the ability to make one group 0. Still, downloads from any external source won't count in their stats though...only if they download it through the link on your site.

Commenting a second time, I don't see a problem with, but rating a second time would be a problem. That would definetly have to be stopped. Otherwise you'll have people voting for their own stuff tons of times over just to be number 1. Good call with that one. I hadn't even thought of it.

here is a suggestion that I think I'm going to start doing. change the permissions of the conf file to 444 until you need to change something in it. then change it to 777 when you change something, then back again. this way it is secure.
