bd_csmc,
I really appreciate the work you do. Although, I must ask, how long until we see a release? This is so I can manage my time to provide a testing period.

Thanks for the information. I will check them out. I always over looked these modules because of the names, but they may function the way I want.

If a site were to have regional sections, then maybe a calendar and classified ads module would be helpful. (Local events and local ads)

bd_csmc,
I must say that it seems every project you are involved in, I hold great interest for. Searching through forums, dev.xoops, mod rep... and there you are.

You do such cool stuff! I can't wait for this module and a few others you have on the go. Keep up the hard work, keep going... you're young, a machine, no food, no sleep!

Multi-Sites
This thread may be of interest to some. This guy works hard and is developing something great, which may help in our situation.

If a module is installed across the whole network, you could put menu in theme or use a custom block/module to display main menus, thus showing subject content.

Although your plans will help to divide content to categories, I feel your '3rd thought' as you build this should be categories/subject management. My main site is the main menu with all recent content, sub-sites hold category content.

I will invite people over from this thread who may have interest here.

Well, I did it the hard way and by myself. Although, I know a little more about XOOPS and I am better off now for pushing myself. I destroyed my first site! So now I run a test site in parallel on a seperate database.

I have done everything I didn't want to do. I cloned modules, muti-installing XOOPS (soon), blank category modules (to contain a related subject). Website is not launched so I can experiement still.

I'll move over to the other thread, more activity there.

tzvook, Thanks for your help earlier!

3 group ages, you want your groups to have all their unique content directly, without looking/searching after it, so the easy way to do it can be : taking Chappy's singlepage module making 3 instances of it with 3 different names, taking the "themechanger" module, linking each "singlepage module" from a block in the front page

This is the only problem which keeps me stuck in the planning stage of my website development. I am running a test XOOPS site, in parallel to original, on it's own database. I am cloning modules, multi-install xoops, category modules, themes with dedicated columns (5 subjects/columns: 1 per theme/categories), using groups in unique ways... I am getting closer to a final structure I could be comfortable with.

But again...

Sites network is one thing
Site divided to categories is another thing

I don't even know where I stand anymore.

Hello mrjingles,

I see you have the block working. Your site looks great and is somewhat a model for mine. I am in the process of testing mydownloads clones for music genres at my site,
I am wondering if you could share your block code which shows all files from each clone.

Any help would be appreciated since nobody answered your post. Nobody ever answers my post which are about cloning modules?!

Thanks for your time!
